Hello,
I am resident in the downtown Atlanta area. My condo is located on the 7th floor of a highrise building that experienced damage from the severe weather that passed through the area. There seems to be a lot of speculation surrounding the storm. I would like to say that for the record I believe that it was definately a tornado. I saw winds that were moving debris in a circular motion and the sound was like a train. My building experienced damage and many of the residents lost windows due to the storm.

Hello,
I am a very distraught owner of a pet I suspect was abducted from our local Wal-Mart store. She left my house at 10 pm on Thursday 3/13/08, and was spotted by my neighbor's teenager around that time in a field just south of the Wal-mart parking lot. In several attempts to contact the store manager, I finally spoke with one, explained that my dog Kenwood (female 12yo) might have been abducted in their parking lot and requested that they search their surveillance videos of the parking lot for that period. I was told that it would be done and that I would hear back from them by noon today (3/15/2008). After not hearing back I called again. They are now looking through the security tapes and the store manager is very sympathetic. I am very concerned. This is unlike the dog to disappear; she's been my dog for 12 years and though she does wander from time to time, she has never been gone this length of time in all of the years I've had her. I have canvassed the area for 2 days, with the only lead being the sighting of her shortly after leaving my house close to the Wal-mart store. She was wearing dog tags indicating a rabies vaccination as well as contact information for her safe return in just such an event. She has been gone for far longer than the average 24 hours most dogs are missing. I have searched and searched with no luck, and because she is a smart dog and could easily find her way home were she able, I am beginning to suspect foul play. With little help from Wal-mart, and because of the possibility that she is no longer in Cottage Grove, I am seeking some help from the media. I admit that CNN is probably not in the lost dog business, but because I suspect that she was taken from the Wal-mart parking lot, and they may have video of this, I would like to apply as much pressure as soon as possible. If she was indeed abducted, I can provide photos of her. She is the best dog in the world, ask anyone who knows her. This may seem a normal statement from the owner, but I assure that everything about this dog is unique and may have added to her attractiveness to a weak minded individual. If the reader has any love for animals at all, and some distrust of the Wal-mart parking lot as I do, then I humbly beg for this message to be forwarded to someone who may help my desperate situation. Pictures of my beloved animal on television may help to bring results, and Wal-mart's possible involvement may help to sell the story. Please do all that you can to bring my very best friend home. Sincerely, Brian White Robert Howard Company, Inc.

OBAMA SPEECH: To be fair, check out the church messages from George
Bush's church, Hilary's church, and McCain's church. You won't hear
ANY incendiary remarks. If you don't believe it, check them out and
listen for yourself. I REST MY CASE!

The issue of race has been out there and talked about. What hasn't
been discussed is overt gender bashing. Hillary Clinton's voice,
makeup, clothes, laugh, clap and her husband's infidelity. Those
comments would never be made about a male of any race. The media
and Sen. Obama's campaign have been insulting and condescending
toward Sen. Clinton. Why isn't that discussed?

Most people go to church to hear positive things like loving god, unconditional love, forgiveness, helping people. Church is no place for negative talk. Most people don't have a problem leaving a church if something negative is being said by their pastor. I know i would not have a problem leaving, unless i believed in what the pastor was saying. If reverend Wright wants to talk that kind of negativity then he needs to change professions. He has a right to say it but it should not be said in church. That's not what loving god is about. About Obama speech. I don't think he did a very good job. Why would he want to be a member of a church where a pastor speaks so negatively and expect to be president. I think his speech was just to please the public he did't really mean any of it. We need to keep moving forward in a positive way. Some people continue to try and make excuses for Obama.

I am amazed the political race in the US has become about the color
of a persons skin. It is because of people like Obama's pastor the
world does not change. I was shocked by the pastor's speech and the
hatred he spewed. For people to sit and accept his word as gospel
is appalling. Oprah recently had a blind gentleman on her show who
said because he cannot see the color of a persons skin he judges
people from the inside. He warmed my heart and I think maybe we all
need to close our eyes and hear what people are saying. We focus
too much on what a person looks like. I am a white female and I
have yet to find someone that I am better than. To me the color of
a persons skin is like a dress I like in two colors. They both are
of the same quality and wear equally well. Black and white are just
colors and description. Color does not define the person.

I really don't think Senator Obama needs to validate his loyalty to
his church affiliation. His former pastor is know longer the
leader. Some people go to church because the Lord resides there
& true believers leave any discrepencies within the sanctuary
in His hands. Being under a system of supremacy-rule for
approximately 500 yrs & the affects it has had on its citizens
is far more dangerous to the minds of the people no matter which
side of the tracks you were on. Denying it on one side because it
is to painful is even more painful for the ones who have been
exposed to the harsher side. You may have never realize the
differences in language spoken at a dinner table when a
grand-mother (God Bless for still having her) speakes of her father
or grand-father who was the recepient of the mournful tale the late
Billie Holliday sang of "Strange Fruit". To know of the pictures of
men dangeling from a tree while a crowd of men, women &
CHILDREN in gaiety stand near by. Blame for anguish isn't the
motive for this post but more a wonder of a lack of understanding
from those who are to quick to critize things or views that they
lack any knnowledge of. Senator Barack Obama doesn't need to
opoligize for another grown man. He doesn't have to take time out
of his quest for the presidency of the United States of (All)
America to massage egos of anyone. I think his time with Harvard
& as President of the Harvard Review Board speakes volumes
compared to a few video clips of someone who has spoken for 30
years inn the pulpit. Now the negativity most likely comes from a
lack of respect for a people that's been viewed through total
ignorance, as 3/5ths of a human. Let's be about the business of
electing a person who loves America & can be trusted for who he
is & not judge the Man on some long deep rooted biasis we
harbor that isn't useful to anyone. This is not an excuse for the
Senator as much as my own obsevations of viewing the man with an
intelligent eye & not some long brainwashed thoughts on people
who do not look like me. Vote Obama 08

My husband and i drive over 48 states for over two years. I am so
glad Sen. Obama in his speech brought up the issue about race. I
hate to turn on our CB because i get my feeling hurt almost
everyday for two year i have heard white truck drivers call us the
N word or call someone else the N word it happen often. but if we
are in the truck stop in person no one would say that in our face.
so they are hiding behind the cb like they was hiding behind the
sheets. We are proud americans and we are going to support obama
until the end.

It seems that oil companies raise their prices everyday when the
price of a barrel of oil goes up, but when the price of oil comes
down it takes them forever to lower prices. Oil prices per barrel
have come down over 10.00 a barrel and prices have not changed at
the pumps. These oil companies are price gauging and something
needs to be done about it.
