As a matter of fact, I want to warn all our Junior iReporters to stear clear Ms. Smoggy until they gear their gear up. She's got a strong serve over there.

So sincerely

With the recent death of Charlton Heston, CNN's own Larry King summed up the life of Charlton Heston best: Heston was an ENIGMA. How could a man who played such an amicable and loving character as Moses on screen, come to being president of the NRA? This is ironic but reveals largely the character of what we call a "RENAISSANCE MAN." The varied dimensions of Heston's character enabled him to portray a character such as MOSES, who would have abhorred guns, and at the same time, Heston later in his life, came to love guns. How ironic this defines Heston, and yet a man that was able to put such opposing ideas into their proper perspective. As actor Charles Bronson said so iconoclastically in one of his movies, "Guns have their uses, but IDIOTS with guns...make me NERVOUS. We can tie this adage to the war with Iraq and our timely very ignorant president. This war is a travesty to most thinking Americans, yet to many more masses that are IGNORANT as our president is, this involvement with that country, helps to stop the war on terrorism. This is baloney!!! Our society is doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past, until it learns to remember from and to prevent from repeating them, and learn new techniques for peace, without unnecessary violence. "A man locked away 26 years for murder was granted a new trial and freed on bail Friday with the help of two attorneys who came forward with a client's confession after the client died in prison."

There is something very, VERY wrong with a governmnent whose laws allow an innocent man to be locked away for even a single day, much less 26 YEARS, while the KNOWN guilty party remains free.

The two attorneys who knew of this wrongly punished man's innocence claim attorney-client privelege as their "defense" for their deceit and reprehensible behavior. It's wrong, they knew it was wrong, and neither had the balls to stand up and do the right thing. It's a sick, sad reflection on our society and our fervor to ensure criminals' rights.

Here is yet one more example of how the victims in our society get screwed while the guilty are free to go on committing heinous crimes against more victims. This, however, is carried to an even further, frightening extreme: wrongful imprisonment -- and essentially, the loss of an entire life -- due a "technical glitch."

Hasn't the arguement against capital punishment always gome something like, "it's better to free 100 guilty men than to execute one innocent man"? But I guess that same way of thinking doesn't apply to life imprisonment.

Hiding behind a "privelege" is easy of you don't have a heart, and it's obvious these two assholes are devoid of such.

Both attorneys, no matter what priveleges thay invoke, need to be locked up for 26 years. At the very least, I hope the victim gets himself a dirty, nasty lawyer and sues these two inhuman attorneybots for every nickle they have.
