The local news stations are giving this story a good bit of air
time and are not shrugging it off with lame jokes like they did 10
years ago, when the "famous" Phoenix lights first appeared.
Everyone is quite baffled about what these lights could be. What
has been confirmed is what they are not...they are not baloons,
they are not parachutes, nor are they kites or flares. One video
airing locally shows airplanes, probably military, flying towards
these lights to investigate, although Luke Airforce base refuses to
make a comment. Whatever these lights are remains to be
seen....we'll probably never know, but they appear to be real and
not a hoax. Too many ligitimate people have reported these
sightings and all cannot be crackpots.

I heard this morning on a local news network that a valley man had
tied road flares to balloons and set them free a minute apart from
eachother. They didn't give an explination as to why he did it, but
he appologized in the report.
