in my opinion, i don't think, the black church has been downed at
all by anyone, it seems to me that all the problems with race
started with wearing their color on their sleeves and blming whites
for everything that happened to their ancesters. i didn't do it and
i don't think or know of anyone else that did make african
-americans slaves. i think it was wrong. i also think obama and his
rev. wright have stirred up the racial issues to try and help obama
win to keep whites from feeling guilty for something they didn't
do. i also the news media helps by showing to many biased reports.
i also think mi and fl should count. if not why should we the
people waste our time and expensive gas to go vote? i dare obama to
to debate with hillary. i won't to know more from where he is not
only coming from, but where he really came from! if he isn't going
to make the whites slaves? is he gonna try to rule or change our
religeous beliefs?

Howard Dean shutup. If an American was running right behind a
Chinese runner in the Olympic decathalon would you recommend the
American drop out because because he is not the front runner or
finish the race?
Futhermore all this talk from Dean and other super delegates about the party needs time to prepare for the General Election is BOGUS! That argument goes out the window when the party punished Florida and Michigan for having early primaries. What super delegates fear most is having to publicly put their vote where their mouths are! If they are wrong, the fallout in the next mid-term election could be catastrophic.

Until this morning I was an undecided Democrat primary voter. Rev.
Wright has helped me decide. No one sits in a church for 20 years
and listens to a theology they don't agree with. I am a black
Indiana voter and for sure race is an issue in our country in many
areas. But for Sen. O'Bama to preach a new kind of politics is
disturbing to me when he goes to a church that preaches
divisiveness. Rather than explore the unknown I have to stick with
a known quantity. Go Hillary!

Please help me understand if those who sit on the side of you
journalists operate from left brain? For some reason I am finding
difficulty in understanding HOW Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright's
appearances have anything to do with Senator Barak Obama's run for
the White House. Senator Obama has constantly shown himself to be a
person who will lift America to a place that we have never been...
a unified, hopeful America... and will possibly miss the
opportunity should people press on the issue that Dr. Wright's
hermeneutic somehow influences how we understand Mr. Obama. Help me
figure this out, please.

Rev Wright is a great pastor......the elite in the media
are bashing him and making an issue out of nothing. God does not only bless America......wake up! We live in a plutocracy. We are financing a war with communist China's investments in Treasury obligations to spread democracy in the Middle East. The hypocracy is insane. Today's Wall Street Journal front page article about a woman having to deposit $45,000 at a hospital prior to getting cancer treatments should be the media's number one story today......while McCain claims we don't want government health care. We are the only industrialized country without it......this disengenuous garbage is not going to work this year.

Crasdummy, somehow you've missed the whole message of Senator Obama
AND Dr. Jeremiah Wright. I can't believe that as a Black American
voting anywhere in the Country that you will vote your conscious on
the basis of where the candidate went to church to worship. Please
remember, the purpose of attending church is to have communal
worship of God... and even in that worship, the ministers iterate
to the people the troubles of this world, and then point to their
faith in God to get them through. I believe it is Dr. Wright who is
the preacher, not Senator Barak Obama. Get a grip, man, (or woman)!

I cannot believe that the press once again cannot ask the right
questions. To quote Thomas Pynchon, "If they can get you asking the
wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers." Who is
responsible for the vilification of Reverend Wright with those
inflammatory You Tube sound bites? This man is not in the news
because of what he said. He is in the news because what he said was
distorted by someone as a way to destroy a political opponent. That
this tactic would stir up racial problems was of secondary concern
to them. I don't pretend to know who that was, but I think the
press should ask and answer that question for all of us. That
should be your question, gentlemen. Who made those Reverend Wright
You Tube sound bites?
I'm also pretty sick of the media and the talking heads wringing their collective hands about Reverend Wright choosing now to defend himself. He has every right to defend himself and to do so when, where and however he can. The way everyone acts you would think that there was not an ounce of sense in the entire working class of white people in this country. That somehow if we don't mention race in this campaign that the electorate will magically overlook that factor when the pull the lever this fall. How stupid do you take the American worker to be? Who is elitist now? People can think for themselves and having come from that tradition I can tell you they do and they don't need Joe Klein or James Carville to tell them where, when and what to think. The people who founded this country were able to digest the arguments of Jefferson, Jay, Hamilton, and Paine, among others. I think we can still tell a sound bite from the truth!

To what lynn77 was saying your ancestors may not have been apart of
black slavery, but your grandmother and maybe even parents
participated in the segregation that went on in this country for
years after slavery. Some people are still victims of this racist
behavior. We can only move forward . The only way to do that is if
somebody acknowledges that this stuff happens everyday and it's
time for a change. Further more I think this country be them black,
white, red or yellow has more to offer than just Bushes or
Clintons. We've had more than Our share of both families. Something
new!!!!!Something new!!!!! Something new!!!!! Time for change.

Wright's whole demeanor and dismissive attitude speaks louder than
his actual words. In one of the videos where he is asked to explain
his 911 comments, he completely dismissed the girl who asked the
question and says that since she didn't hear the whole sermon, it
"nullifies" her question. It is arrogant behavior like this that
makes me sick. He's not an uniter of anything. This guys spews
hatred and Obama buys into it. I would never vote for Obama--even
if he wins the nomination.

to lyn77 -- do you really think it's democratic to include the
votes from Michigan when Barack Obama's name was not even on the
ballot? Seriously? Small detail? I think not !
And, as for endorsements from pastors/preachers, etc -- all 3 have a controversial somebody in their past and/or present. However, the media seems to ONLY spend time on Barack Obama's. OMG -- did you say white slaves? What year is this? Time warp !! Rule our religious beliefs? - exactly the opposite. he wants us to be FREE to think, speak whatever we believe in ! As a biracial American - I can tell you that no one understands both cultures as well as we do. LOL Compassion & understanding abounds !

As an American Blackman, I find it a truthful shame that we blame
others for the lack of success the black community continues to
struggle with. That being said (a black man is the greatest
hinderance to another black man.
Rev Wright is suppose to be close to Barrack Obama, running for president is not just a run in the mill back yard brewery. Rev Wright is totally self serving. He could have spoke this way for many many years but he decides to open the flood gates on a man who has supported him through the church for twenty years. A black man does not want another black man to EVER become president, it would cause the black community to enhance their living and take actual responsiblity for the children. In my up coming book (Blackmen Got it But Don't Get it)shows exactly why we fail to achieve and blame white america for our lack almost everything. Rev Wrong blames white people for our language barrier, but not once did he say to the black community to stop showing your children freebies and shoot for the moon. CHILDREN DON'T DO WHAT YOU SAY! THEY DO WHAT YOU DO! What does Rev Wright do, he spits fire that hurts his own community. An american black man has a chance lead the country he claims that black children learn different. NOT THAT THE PARENTS COULD ATTEMPT TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!! Children are children, they learn what they are taught. The black community must stop talking as though we have never heard proper english before. Rev Wright has all these intelligent degrees but sounds stereotypical. You can tell your talking to an African on the other line. Because the have never heard proper english before or the parents failed to educate them to the point that the working world can accept it easier than speaking jive. America sought Barrack Obama as the next President until Rev Wright SPOKE OUT! Why now. America said we are ready for a potentially great american who can relate to all parties who is not a threat. America seen Barrack as an American First and non threatening. Now america is sliding into the realm and reality of Barrack Obama being too black. He has stalled. America is seeking more from him and he's missing the boat. Its like a football game, its in the fourth quarter with 3rd down and 1 to go with 2 minutes but does not know which play to run. Hillary has her safeties, linebackers running all over the field trying to scramble Barrack to get him to turn over the ball. Right now, Barrack is on the offense but if he runs the wrong play it will be fourth and 1 on his own 25 yard line. Hillary is close enough to kick a winning field goal if Barrack is not careful. A huge penalty, personal foul. illegal hands to the face and tripping (rev wright) this causes Barrack to back up 1/2 the distance to the 12 1/2 yard line and now its 3rd down and a long way. What play does Barrack run. Its 3rd down 23. """"ready, blue forty nine""""SteelerRed"""""choke down democrap"""""WHISLTLE BLOWN...Personal foul against the defense. Hillary 15 yards for lying to the American public and not apologizing. 15 yards. now its 3rd down and five yards. Better off than the initial penalties but you must see the Right American road and don't be fooled by the WRIGHT QUICK SAND. Barrack, your on an island and the Wright QuickSand is spreading. You must get off of the island to never return if you want to win. DO YOU WANT TO WIN OR WIN AN ENEMY! IT MARRIED YOU, BLESSED YOUR CHILDREN AND STOLE YOUR HEART IN FRONT OF THE WORLD. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO. HILLARY IS STOMPING ON THE DOOR, A MINUTE AND 41 SECONDS LEFT. BARRACK IN THE HUDDLE. HEY TIMEOUT, I HAVE AN ANSWER THAT COULD SAVE BARRACKS REAR IF HE'S OPEN TO WINNING. I HAVE NEVER EVER HEARD THE COMMENTS FROM A BLACK CHURCH THAT I HAVE VISITED, MY AUNT RECEIVED AN HONORARY DOCTORATE AS A MINISTER FROM ALABAMA TO MINNESOTA. BLACK PEOPLE WANT TO BE CONSIDERED EQUAL BUT WITH wright it will always be WRONG. REMEMBER, YOU MUST BE A GOOD PARENT FIRST! REV WRIGHT WOULD RATHER SPEAK OUT AND SHOW THE WORLD THAT BLACK PEOPLE LIVE IN A GHETTO MINDSET AND NOT EQUAL. THIS IS 2008, YES RACISM EXIST, HATRED EXIST BUT THE BLACK COMMUNITY FAILS TO TEACH THEIR CHILDREN TO ACHIEVE. REGARDLESS OF COLOR YOU CAN ACHIEVE.... ITS ABOUT CHARACTER NOT COLOR!!!!!!!!YOU ARE WRONG WRIGHT.TOTALLY. YOU ARE ALWAYS TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT, REGARDLESS OF COLOR. ITS A HOT TIME IF YOU ARE CLEAN AND CORRECT AND ATTEMPTING TO HELP YOUR SO-CALLED FRIEND YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DEFEND YOUR ACTIONS. HE JUST MADE THE COMMENT THAT HE WILL BE PASTOR JANUARY 2009 and it sounded like he knows his fellow blackman will not be president. TO REV WRIGHT SUCCESS! I'M GLAD HE'S HAPPY TO CONTINUE TO MAKE THE BLACK COMMUNITY LOOK STUPID AS EVER. HATE IS HATE, ALL BLACK AMERICA DOES NOT LISTEN, I DON'T LISTEN. THIS IS AMERICA. NOT AFRICA! HE IS NOT A CHRISTIAN, INTENTIALLY HURTING THE MAN HE MARRIED FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF HANDOUTS TO BLACK AMERICA. MY FAMILY IS AMERICAN FIRST AND FOREMOST. REV WRIGHT SAID HE WILL GO AFTER BARRACK DUE TO THE GOVERNEMENT!!! THIS INDICATES BARRACK WILL BE ATTACKED BEFORE HE EVER GETS A CHANCE TO SUCCEED. WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF WRIGHT BLACKS.

AS AN INDEPENDANT, MY FAMILY IS ALL ABOUT CHARACTER AND NOT COLOR!
BARRACK OBAMA WAS SEEN AS AN AMERICAN BLACKMAN WHO PEOPLE LISTENED TOO. NOW HE IS A BLACKMAN WHO IS REELING FROM THE HISTORICALLY DESTRUCTION FROM ANOTHER BLACKMAN. BLACK PEOPLE ARE THEIR OWN WORST ENEMY. EXAMPLE:::JESSE JACKSON...AL SHARPTON.. I'M NOT AN AFRICAN! I'M AN AMERICAN WHO IS BLACK. CHILDREN DON'T DO WHAT YOU SAY!!!!!THEY DO WHAT YOU DO! THE BLACK COMMUNITY MUST CHANGE THEIR WAYS AND TEACH OUR KIDS BETTER....ITS CHARACTER NOT COLOR IS THE MAIN ISSUE! THE CHARACTER OF WRIGHT IS TOTALLY WRONG! YES, BLACKS ARE DEALT A TOUGH HAND BUT WE MAKE IT EVEN TOUGHER. THE STEREOTYPICAL BLACK MAN DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF HIS FAMILY AND TEACH THAT THE WORLD IS TOUGH AND LET ME PREPARE YOU SON OR DAUGHTER FOR WHATS ABOUT TO COME. GREATNESS IF YOU WANT IT!!!!REACH FOR THE STARS NOT THE SCARS OF HATE. DON'T TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO GET ALL THEY CAN GET FOR FREE. ITS ABOUT THE CHILDREN, SHIFT THE FOCUS WRIGHT..YOU ARE TOTALLY WRONG. AS AN INDEPENDANT! AS AN AMERICAN! AS AN AMERICAN BLACKMAN! I'M ASHAMED OF YOUR TIMING AND SPEAKING DESTROYING OTHERS FOR YOUR OWN SELF WORTH. YOU WOULD RATHER FIGHT THE UNITED STATES THAN SEE YOUR COLLEAGUE ACHIEVE GREATNESS. DR.MARTIN LUTHER KING WOULD TURN OVER IN HIS GRAVE! SPEAKING TO AMERICA IN A HATEFUL MANNER!

I want to make this comment to people who may have been turned off
by Wright. ALL BLACK CHURCES DO NOT WORSHIP THE SAME WAY. I don't
know Mr. Wright but I do know one thing about black churches
especially in the south. Most Black people in church love their
pastor. A lot of times they love their pastor so much that they
don't want to let him go even when his age, health, or even mind is
not as sharp as it had once been. I was turned off by Wright's
blunt and inconsiderate speech but I hope people don't think that
these are the views of Barak or most black people. It has happened
at my church and at plenty of other churches i could name. We hold
on to a preacher who has been great to us and the community but it
is time to retire. I see Wright as a very intelligent man just
aged. Being aged and a preacher means when he starts talking, three
hours later he is still talking some of it makes since and some
don't. Don't fault his church for supporting him because he has
probably done a lot for them and it would be unlike a black church
to turn on their pastor even if they knew all of his views did not
match their views any more.

It is one thing to sit, as a free-minded adult, in a church and
listen to preaching that you may not agree with. The adult mind can
filter out the racist preachings, taking in only the pieces that it
chooses to. It is a totally separate issue to take your child.
Maybe Mr. Obama was able to ignore the parts that he did not agree
with, but were his daughters able to do the same? Furthermore, if
he disagreed so whole-heartedly, why would he ever bring his
daughters to listen to such preachings? It's not like this was a
one-time thing; Mr. Obama appears to have been a regular. Why
should the United States elect a man who not only attends, but
raises his children, in a church with such un-American preachings.
Mr. Obama is applying for a position to lead not just
African-Americans, but Americans of all races. He is therefore held
to a higher standard. Just like he cannot be persecuted for his
race, he cannot be forgiven because of his race. Lastly, what would
the reaction be if this were Mrs. Clinton or Mr. McCain instead of
Mr. Obama? Let's look at the facts: Mr. Obama not only attended,
but raised his children in a church run by a pastor who has made
numerous racist, un-American statements. Why is it that he is even
still in the running?

Subject: HOW IRONIC! .. Hilary's pastor convicted of molestation
What goes around--------! IF A PASTOR IS KNOWN BY THE COMPANY THEY KEEP... When the Rev. William Procanick put his hand on the Bible during his sex-abuse trial in Oneida County Court earlier this year, he swore to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But as the former Clinton Pastor was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for inappropriately touching a 7-year-old girl at his home last March, Judge Michael L. Dwyer said Procanick Sacrificed his honesty the day he testified. Okay, so now that Bill and Hillary Clinton's pastor has been convicted of child molestation, will we see the same furor directed at Hillary that Obama has had to endure these last few weeks??? IF A CANDIDATE IS KNOWN BY TH E PASTOR THEY KEEP ..... Then you need to email this article to everyone you know. Here the CLINTON'S Pastor is convicted of child Molestation. So, if Obama bears the guilt for his pastor's comment; then Hillary has to be equally tainted by this man's crimes. GIVES NEW MEANING TO SHOE ON THE OTHERS FOOT... Please keep this email going! http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/80486/?comments=view&cID=865999&pID=865299

? Obama's judgement?? They say that he should of known about Rev.
Wright. But Hillary should of known about Bill Clinton and Monica
Lewinsky, And that is in her own house.
Also in the Compassion Debate hillary was ask if she recieved the Holy Ghost, (she did not know) and they ask if God put her on theis journey and she said "no"

Why is it that the pundits feel as though obama hasn`t said enough
about denouncing Rev Wright. I have a feeling that there will never
be enough for the instigators in the news media. Why is it that
white candidates don`t have to explain themselves but Obama is
always put under a microscope. The news media takes every word and
sentence and comment Obama says and just tear it down and rearrange
it to their satisfaction. They put their own spin to everything he
says and add to it or omit somethings whichever suits their radical
views. I would also like to know, if hillary was in the lead would
she still make a case out of counting votes from Michigan and
Florida? Hillary signature on a document or agreement is an
indication of how much she considers her signature as binding and
legal. She cannot be trusted to sign important papers if she was in
the white house because her signature will not have any importance
and binding.
