I was infuriated with Kyra Phillips report this morning on Obama's win and should he be concerned about his safety due to being a black African AMERICAN. She mentions that CBS is closing down one of it's sites due to racial slurs against Obama. CNN, I really thought you were above all that. If CBS is getting them why should you mention them and then ask a black governer if Obama should be concerned about his safety? That just puts the idea right into some nut's head and it being the anniversary of Robert Kennedy's assasination does not help the situation. I expected better professional journalism from your reporters and if that is all that Kyra Phillips can come up with - SHE SHOULD BE FIRED! This election has been interesting. I am puzzled, Every time Senator McCain speak he is talking about Iraq and foreign policy. My question is do he ever talk about the issues that Americans are facing. high gas prices, lack of jobs, health care, education, no child left behind, etc. you never hear him talking about these issues. I am so furious! I am so tired of hearing how the media has been mean to Clinton - I don't see it and her whinning and crying about it in order to gain whatever advantage is over now! Her snuff of Obama last night in that speech was very small on her part and pissed me off as an Obama supporter. Any registered Ireporter that strictly comments, and sometimes negative, should be disqualified.Things have gotten out of hand, abusive. When I first got on the internet I was so pumped. I saw a golden opportunity to connect with many people and get back a sense of community in this country. Boy was I disapointed. Since the internet went public, and I go back to the Compuserve days, the chat rooms and blogs have been filled with what we used to call "flammers". Instead of civil discourse the majority of posts were hate based, non productive anger, that benifited no one. I still wait for the promise of a civil community were rational ideas can be shared.

Please lets not suggest hillary for VP any more, just like Barack reach those 17 millions who voted for him he can reach out to those Clinton supporters also. Dave, there seems to be a problem with postings. It took a few hours for one of my gas quotes to be posted. Like approx. 4 hours until it went up.(Sunday morning)

It's bad guys. For longer than you think.
We come on ireport for relaxation, fun, a hobby. It is not fun to be torn to shreds, or see your ireporter friends attacked. We tried the ignore them trick and it does not work. Granted commenting back just makes it worse. It keeps them rolling.
It is especially hurtful to new reporters like mommiestyles to see the negative activity. No one wants to view a site like this. If I had not been on here for almost three months, with a lot of time invested, I would be scared to death.
We need an edit tool, or block tool of some kind to control these obnoxious people. There are a lot of reporters gone already because of the nasty activity.

just wanted to post and let all know that I have complained to CNNireports of a so called "investigative reporter" they have allowed to post stories here. His name is Robert Paisola. His venom here has shattered so many peoples lives. The garbage story he made up about Odyssey House, it's staff, Albert Nieto, his wife, and this so called "victim" is an outragous slander to all these people. He has posted that story in order to set his scam in motion. He attempted to sell his crap to local media outlets in Utah. Not one of them bought. This scam set up by Paisola, Lindsey Lopez & one other cohort is a clear attempt to blackmail and extort money from Odyssey House. Thankfully they were NOT successful. However, Paisola was allowed to post that horrible story here and it did reach people whos lives are in termoil due to his lies. I personally have made it my mission to expose this guy for who & what he is. So far I have found out he is a convicted sex offender and is right now in jail for a 90 day sentence for failing to register as a sex offender. this is his 3rd time in jail just for that. He has also spent alot of time behind bars for a ton of different criminal behavior. such as: cild pornography, theft by deception, internet infringement, extortion, fraud, filing false loan applications, on & on. He also has so many cival judgements against him for slander, defamation, internet stalking, this list go's on & on as well. 100's of thousands awarded to plantiffs. he has so many websites for so many different proffessions.... anything or anyone he needs to be at that time to achieve his scandalous goal ... he can become. This man is really sick ... please beware of robert Paisola.

I really think that you ought to take a look at Youtube and even Myspace and the tools that protect the civility for the poster, not to mention the safety... iReport is a reflection of CNN... and while the guidelines are a voluntary start, there are buttons that would help insure that individual posters could help monitor the quality of the discussion... Right now there is a ton of stalking, insults and other serious and juvenile stuff that actually reflects poorly on CNN as a serious media organization.

Certainly the Email also needs a button that allows the iReporter to block certain emailers.

Dave, there is a few people on here that are obsessed with Superstars and good Ireporters. They are full of harassment, etc. They should be removed, or a block comment button should be installed. "Eilorthurt" is the latest scab who stalks good reporters.

It is sasd to see ireporter dropping out because they feel harrassed or threatened. Any chance we can get better editing capabitilities of comments on our own articles, or from people we don't want to email us, as TibetVideos points out? It might make this process a little less stressful for some people, although I don't know how difficult it would be to initiate. Thanks in advance for any improvements you can make. This is very sad.

i left for about a month (lost track) lost my superstar "power" but i came back with a different attitude. I am ignoring the one star ratings, I am ignoring the repugnant and ignorant comments, and the personal attacks. I have clipped my bio to barely nothing, so people don't continue to make up things about me, a person whom they don't even know. If we can't get help to delete these personal attacks, well, then we should just ignore them. I had worked hard on reports and achieved my superstar status and lost it. Sometimes things that you think will be all in good fun, turn out to give you spikes in your blood pressure. No more. Superstar status was lost; health was not.
