As a single mother of three,
mommiestyles
is greatly concerned about rising gas prices. She voiced her
concerns on iReport.com,
asking how she
could feed her children with these prices. "Who can afford
that?" she asked. "I might as well charter my own jet!"
As the price of gas continued to weigh heavily on her mind,
mommiestyles went to the streets of Cincinnati to ask passers-by
the simple question:
"To drive or not to
drive?" --- and she turned out to be quite the gifted
interviewer as well.
What question would you ask in your neighborhood?
Grab your
camera and hit the street!

Alabama has several thousand oil wells that were first found,
second drilling rights were paid and third the oil companies capped
them off??????????????????? Why are we paying high prices for oil
when there is plenty here in our own country?

Governers, How does one privatize a government? Unto the superclass
no less, including the Department of Energy and Social Security
would be nice (not), well just look around you and especially look
at Florida, Is freedom ringing? or are we headed toward a New World
Order monopoloized by the Worlds Rich, enslaved unto them, buy
there rules, and laws, that only empower them even further, is this
the America the equal people, want or is this being pushed on All

I have to agree with "deant." Your souls have been sold and you
didn't even get a whimper of objection out before it happened.
Superior species. If you say so. Just keep drinking that kool-aid
they give you.
You hominids were mesmerized by the flashy lights and pretty scenes. Tempted by meaningless possessions and promises that could be, and are currently being, stripped away by others at their whim. Your politicians led you down a primrose path with a giant pit of quicksand at the end and bid you adieu. The time is now, and the place is here. A stand must be taken by your species, lest it portune a total change to a/the way of life you all thought you once had. Your beloved Constitution allows for a change in the government.Your founding Father's left the second ammendment to you as a way to assure it if need be. Demand it. Relentlessly. Do not let the phone stop ringing, the letters stop arriving, the email serves rest until the leaders you have selected either come around to doing "the right thing" or you remove them. Forcibly if need be. As I have often learned and experienced in the company of my own; you really must 'take' what you want. Now hand me that banana or else. But hey, what do I know; I'm just a baboon.

We have alot of oil reserves in Canada also, and yet gas prices
climb every day! Gas costs me 137.9 per litre today, which works
out to $6.07 CDN. As a single mom with 2 teens left at home, we're
getting used to alot of KD, not to mention this has made learning
to drive a huge burden, since they are both in Driver's Ed!
When do we decide to do something? The middle class is bumped to lower class, and the lower class has become little more than a burden on society, because they don't have a prayer of finding the extra with what was already a brittle budget! We are not ADDICTED to oil! Society has made it a necessary function in the transport of our goods! We have little choice how our products arrive here, but must buy these products to survive. Western Canada pays less than central or eastern Canada, and the people struggle and pray! This is all we can do without finding criminal ways to ease the pain! There were car's in the mid 80's and early 90's that were getting
50 to 60 mpg. Where did they go? Why do were need hybrids that get
only marginally better gas mileage than your standard car. Car
companies rant and rave about a car that gets 40 mpg. BIG DEAL.
We've already seen that with the Geo Metro's. How about giving us a
car that gets 100 mpg.

WHERE TO BUY AMERICAN GASOLINE. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW.
READ ON.
Gas rationing in the 70's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even have been good for us! Are you aware that the Saudis are boycotting American products? Shouldn't we return the favor? Can't we take control of our own destiny and let these giant oil importers know who REALLY generates their profits, their livings? How about leaving American Dollars in America and reduce the import/export deficit? An appealing remedy might be to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up your car you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just purchase gas from companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Don't you think it might be of interest to know which oil companies import Middle Eastern oil and which do not? These companies import Middle Eastern oil: Shell.................................. 205,742,000 barrels Chevron/Texaco.................. 144,332,000 barrels Exxon... . 117,740,000 barrels Amoco............................... 62,231,000 barrels And CITGO oil is imported from Venezuela by Dictator Hugo Chavez who hates America and openly avows our economic destruction! (We pay Chavez's regime nearly $10 Billion per year in oil revenues!) The U.S. currently imports 5,517,000 barrels of crude oil per day from OPEC. If you do the math at $95 per barrel, that's over $524 million PER DAY ($191 BILLION per year!) handed over to OPEC, many of whose members are our confirmed enemies!!!!! Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil: Sunoco..................... 0 barrels Conoco....................... 0 barrels Sinclair....................... 0 barrels BP / Phillips............... 0 barrels Hess. ...............................0 barrels ARC0......................................... 0 barrels Maverick...................... 0 barrels Flying J. .......................................... 0 barrels Valero......................... 0 barrels Murphy Oil USA sold at Wal-Mart is from South Arkansas and owned USA Not only that they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens. All of this information is available from the U.S. Department of Energy and each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. But to have a real impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. With the help of the internet, it's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out at this point....keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at only ten more (30 x 10 = 300)....and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000)...and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it....THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE-the entire population of the United States of America!!!!

Today on tv about off shore drilling.
As a democrat I think we should drill. For one it will drop oil prices some. Even $.50 cents would make a huge difference in our pockets. Also some of us american are looking for jobs. If there was a bigger oil industry some of us can go back to work. We could drill or whatever, make plastics. Show the world that we are drilling and maybe bring prices down. As a democrat, I am ashamed of the democrats who turned this deal down. I would fire each and everyone of them for not looking out for middle class americans. This idea with bio-fuels being the answer to all problems is all BS. First off if you seen the results of the carbon that ethanol puts out into the atmosphere, You would never use it again or even think about it. The only clean bio-fuel is Bio-diesel. The idea of running cars purely on batteries maybe be ok for a few. But I can tell you. No electric vehicle is going to tow my camper on batteries. So too me anything electric is a waste. Everyone is so afraid of global warming. Well I have news for you. Global warming start with the death of woolly mammoths and woolly rhinos. Sure carbon from cars and factories may have sped up the process some. But eventually it would have still happened. Regardless what you do. Even if everyone on this earth stopped making carbon dioxide. Global warming would still occur. It's just the natural process of the earth. At one time Antarctica was a tropical island. Then a global cooling happened, So maybe the earth will global cool in the future. So all this idea of got too have alternative fuels may work for a few, but the rest of us it does no good. I am young, And I would never drive a car run on batteries. I would never own a hybrid. The closes thing you will see me drive is a bio-diesel fuel vehicle. Ethanol is a no no. Also the idea that we need to save our oil for future purposes is all baloney. Use it up. In the future we can get oil from plants. So might as use up whats in the ground and available now. Also diesel should be cheaper, It takes less process to make diesel versus gasoline. There should be twice as many diesels in america then there is now. I haven't bought a car for years. Why, because I can not find a diesel. I don't care for gas engines and refuse to buy them. Diesel may cost more on the dealership lot, but in the long run it saves alot in fuel. My current diesel car gets 46 city, 58 highway. Some automakers, should be making all diesels sold, able to burn bio-diesel. And also should have a option package for burning wasted vegetable oil.

Andrew,
Please stop posting spam... most of the "facts" in that widely spread spam e-mail you posted are false anyway. The dead giveaway of an e-mail with false claims is "send this to" all your friends, associates blah blah blah. |
