What's going on in Iceland today? Just ask ander , who's always letting us know about the major news in his country. He got his start with a video showing a group of truck drivers protesting government actions they believe are responsible for surging gas prices about twice as high as in the United States.

Later, he told us about the effects of an earthquake and showed us geothermal energy sending whitish plumes into the air. When Björk and Sigur Rós gave a free benefit concert in Iceland, he was there. But he also tells softer stories about art festivals and mud soccer . He has also covered a baby fashion show , Viking festival , air shows , sea ships , natural phenomena such as the aurora borealis and days without darkness .

ander has gotten a good reaction from the community, including story comments from Sri Lankan iReporter Smokey . The two became friends, leading ander to send Icelandic souvenirs across the water. Smokey has added these to a "friendship wall" she is starting.

July 23, 2008		arkdanimal get off of micheal savages back, you ninny's at the news desk are doing the same thing, bashing others, the only difference between you and savage is he is stating the facts as they really are, and you are attacking him out of jealousy or to go along with the welfare abusers who are pissed off because he told it like it is. the only reason you would go along with these welfare sucks is because they have plenty of time to sit around and do nothing but wacth your all for the money news shows, QUIT LYIMG TO MAKE MONEY!

July 23, 2008		arkdanimal just like the dalai lama said the other day "figure it out for yourself" relating to happiness. quit listing to what others tell you will make you happy, shut off all outside influence, "get the smoke out of your prayer closet" and "know thyself" if you have a problem with any of what I say, maybe you should take my advice. if you don't know what my advice is, read again!
July 24, 2008		awl2times i wonder if a white haired really pale skinned white guy is able to host a show entiled "BLACK IN AMERICA"~~~~~and by the way all host and co-host are not BLACK.this show cannot show BLACK IN AMERICA without BLACKS BEING A PART OF WHAT AMERICA SEES.

September 5, 2008		marlli I spent two weeks in Iceland some years ago. It's a magical and unique island that few people get to experience. I would love to return for a visit.

I'll tell you why the Government and the Coporate Controlled Media including this network are all criminals. Dirty scumbag criminals that are never held to account for there actions. They omit important information and talk instead about aliens and Obama dog. They ask us is Obama going to nominate Hillary. They never ask are these people criminal are they stealing money, no they say something like "do these people no what their doing". These are Harvard, Yale and Oxford Grads, of course they no what their doing you dumb criminals, their stealing. Their world is coming to an end..
