The ongoing conflict between Russia and Georgia has sparked a
fierce reaction on iReport.com. Tensions between the two countries
remain high, and that's been reflected in the angry barbs and
accusations that are being tossed around on the site.
There have been a few flashes of moderation.
iReporter
Racoon says it's
wrong to blame the people for their goverments' actions. "When you
guys say "Russia murdered," try to think twice before saying that.
Better say "politicians" of the "regime". But not Russians …
common people are mourning over those killed on both sides.
BuddhaGeo, an
18-year-old Georgian, said there's plenty of blame to go around.
"Both sides have made a large mistake, neither side is right here
and neither side is wrong, both sides are guilty," he said
in an impassioned
video.

People! Tell, how it is possible to be such blind, in fact Russia
did not interfere at all in Georgia, everything, that it made, it
protected peace inhabitants of South Ossetia and the Russian
citizens who appeared in a zone of the conflict during bombardment
of Georgia. Russia did not attack Georgia and did not bomb it, this
error which want to impose to all people of a planet and the world
community. It is Georgia has attacked South Ossetia at night on
August, 8 2008года. Bombardment of city
proceeded about 15 hours on end, not interrupting at all for a
second thus all rules of conducting war have been broken, peace
inhabitants have been severely killed. The Georgian tanks went on
streets of Tskhinvali and bombed refuges in which people were
hidden, burnt alive women and children!!!! Unless it is not enough
of it? Russia here at anything!!!

Mcaine says he can win a war, Get ready for the flash we will see.
It would be wiser to know how to make PEACE than WAR.

|

I do not see why Bush and Mcaine need to start a war over this when
they have let thousads be murdered in Africa. Is it because they
are black, with the excuse of no intrest?

Russia is not the problem. If we put missls in Poland, It is like
the same to us if they put them in Cuba I think our leaders are
trying to start a war, and there will be no winners, only death.

Mccaine will win wars, we will pay the price of war,I need a leader
that can think of how to avoid a war than to start one like Bush.
Mccaine and Bush must be brothers they love war and will find one
somewhere.

As the Georgian president said thoes Russians are thugs and
murderers an I doubt Russia is mourning the dead from this
conflict. I think that Georgia should be admitted into NATO
immediateley, for thier protection and welfare. We the U.S have
bases throughout Germany that could support Georgia through flying
missions reconasence and secutity to keep Russia at bay. We need to
send an Aircraft carrier task force in the Black Sea so that
Gerogians can feel safe and not affraid.

Missfoxyall, I agree we need to not fight but you've got to show
strength to strength. And as for our Black brothers in Africa they
won't do anything our usa because the are Black and have no oil in
darfur that they know of anyway, nothing to offer so why go there?
Sad but true and that's why they let Rowanda do what thy did and
McCain had the nerve to bring Rowanda up Saturday night what a
joke!!Lol!!lol!!

How fast can the sky be cleared of the Russian airforce gets to the
question how many tanks can be destroyed and how fast can Russians
run from them to keep it from becoming massacre.
It also ponders the question how stupid can Putin be to risk that scenario because the anhialation of tanks trying to move has proven quite possible. It would quickly lead to only one outcome and that is a nuclear threat because there would be no army to fight except for a well armed defensive nato. It would quickly be an escalation once the fight starts with a modern army. Everyone knows and fears that. Putin has proven to be quite capable of underestimating as well as over estimating outcomes. this has just started and can quickly escalate once the air war starts it will quickly be in space. Will the first nuke be fired from a former soviet satellite and what will putin do when that happens. strike the US ? Putin is not as bright as one might hope. He has poked at a giant with few options.

You are killing innocent people. Remember that Shouth Osetia Is
Georgia and Not Russia. Siberia is Russia. Go home, go. You are
dreaming about Communism and the Soviet Union. Forget about this
and go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scary thing is that Putin isn't interested in a proxy war with the
west he dares NATO to take the bait to join his WW3. Do the Russian
people also want WW3?
This was not only an act of war against Georgia but is an invitation to react in an exponential air to conventional war. Not a cold war.

Times to remember. While the Russian tanks are still rolling in
Georgia, it was 40 years ago in 1968 when Soviet army invaded
Czechoslovakia and destroyed any attempts of then moderate
goverment under pres. Dubcek.
I just wish to remind people that nothing has changed much about the Russian arrogance and imperialism.Their thirst for power over the neighbouring nations remains same , no matter which goverment rules there. When Soviet Union collapsed in 90.` I was dancing on their graves but as you can witness now, the " bastard is still alive".

I am convinced by the choice of Sarah Palin as John Mc Cain's Vice
President that he has decided to throw in the towel.
| |
|
August 29, 2008 2 months ago |
Sarah Palin is absolutely brilliant and beautiful!!!! Joe Biden is
a joke and an idiot!!!! He is Mr.Gaff maker himself with his dumb
racists comments about Obama being a sort of main stream clean and
articulate Afican American running for president for the first
time, and his comments insulting Indian Americans working in 7-11's
and speaking with an accent! He insulted millions of people of
color!!!

I think at this point we are all speculating on something we do not
know yet. There will be an independent investigation. Let the
experts do their job. A couple from Quebec jumped on me today when
they heard I was Georgian; I guess they have their own concern
about independence of Quebec from Canada, but it is not up to us.
It is up to international norms and we all have to comply with it.

As a person who doesn't have a dog in this hunt I suppose I look at
things a little different than most Americans do. But it seems to
me that people like James Carville and many of the others calling
John McCain's choice for VP ridiculous are talking out of both
sides of their mouth at the same time. How can anyone criticize
Palin for her lack of experience in Foreign Affairs and claim that
she is not sufficiently prepared to step into the position of
Commander and Chief while in the same breath attempt to convince
the voters that Obama who has even less experience should be the
person you vote for as your next Commander and Chief. Do you just
get the feeling that maybe Mr. McCain whiffed a 95 MPH fastball
past the DEMS? My advice to the Democrats would be to get off the
experience thing before they (The Republicans ) bury your candidate
with it.

What was Obama and the DNC doing when Faye historically made
landfall on Florida 5 times and 11 people died in the floods? The
DNC kept their party going , media ate it up , and Obama and Biden
kept slinging the mud while citizens of the FORGOTTEN state of
Florida suffered in silence. Such a double standard

I seems that CNN always interview republicans that agree with the
pick for vp and democrats that don't. I am a republican and think
the pick is ridiculous. The comparison with Hilary Clinton is a
slap in the face to women (which I am) that we only vote for
someone because of gender. Also John Mccain has been saying the
whole time that Obama doesn't have experiance and then he picks
someone with less. And last of all I am a evangelical christian and
the fact that evangelicals will like her is also ridiculous. Most
of us value the family and the idea that this women should be the
vice president and try to effectively raise as many young children
as she has goes against our basic beliefs. This is the last straw
for me and I know many other. I will not vote for John McCain!
