What you going to do about the National Debt? You guys played dirty politics with ther Florida and Michigan delegates. Just on that alone, you should lose your seat along with everbody else. The only thing you gyuys are going to do is move it from one column to another. That's what you've done for the last two years. Nothing. There's enough People out there to say Yes Sir!! Like with Bush THAT"S ALL YOU NEED!!

I was speaking of Debt and Taxes. Who you are going to TAX. To WHO and What Companies will be paying for Biden and Obama's plan. The bottom line is, Wall street and Main street, have tossed their coin--If you jhave a job now, you might get ready for a hard bumpy road. No matter what, we are already heading into hard times.

Hey Nancy, think you can speak to hillary, woman to woman and tell her to get over it????? She did more to divide this party as a result of her over extended ego..
Tell bill to use some of his 100 million bucks to pay her debt and call it a day. I was a registered Republican all my life and switched over to Democrat when introduced to Obama. Thanks to Hillary, i will have to reregister and go independant. Hillary is making all woman appear sore loosers. Enough already. Sadly enough, with McCain, we will have 4 more years of Bush. Thank you Bill and Hillary!!!!

I dare ya'll to top this question!
Nancy, is it true:Nancy Pelosi January 18, 2006,

Washington, D.C. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, Congresswoman Louise Slaughter of New York, and Senator Barack Obama of Illinois, unveiled Democrats Honest Leadership, Open Government Act, which will restore honesty, integrity, and openness to government.

We come to find out 95% of the bills passed were without discussion or vote under Pelosi's watch. Then we see Pelosi refuse to allow a vote on offshore drilling. To the point she turned off the lights and the electricity. Then left on her book tour.

Pelosi accused Republicans of promoting the interests of Big Oil and the Bush administration, something that has resulted in $4-a-gallon gasoline, she said.

Pelosi's tax bill that will make the taxpayer fund her growing multi millions.

H.R. 6 - Repealing Big Oil Subsidies/Investing in Renewable Fuels

This bill invests in clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency by repealing billions in subsidies given to big oil companies that are raking in record profits. Specifically, the measure ensures oil companies that were awarded the 1998 and 1999 leases for drilling paid their fair share in royalties. It also closes loopholes and ends giveaways in the tax code for Big Oil. Finally, the bill creates a Strategic Renewable Energy Reserve to invest in clean, renewable energy resources, promoting new emerging technologies, developing greater efficiency and improving energy conservation.

Why no Drilling?

Money. It would appear that the driving force behind Madam Speakers quick and forceful adjournment of Congress is money.
According to Michigan Taxes Too Much blog, Madam Speaker has a substantial amount of money invested in Clean Energy Fuels Corporation.

Clean Energy Fuels Corporation is a business venture started by none other than T. Boone Pickens.

She, and other investors, stand to gain a substantial return on their investment if gasoline prices stay high and municipal, state and even the Federal governments start using natural gas as their primary fuel source.

If gasoline prices fall? Alternative fuels and the cost to convert fleets over to them becomes less and less attractive.

UPDATE 8/12/08 2:16 PPM
The initial offering may have been only 22,000 or so shares, but according to a Yahoo news item: Item 8.01. Other Events.

On June 19, 2007, the Company issued a press release announcing that the underwriters of the Companys initial public offering have elected to exercise in full their option to purchase an additional 1,500,000 shares of the Companys common stock to cover over-allotments. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.

This means that Pelosi could have purchased around 20,000 shares at $3.86, or $50,000 to $100,000 worth, which are now worth 300% more than their original value.

Nancy Pelosi says that she is trying to save the planet and prevent global warming, but the reality is that, according to disclosure statements, in May 2007 she invested in T. Boone Pickens clean energy fuels corp., CLNE, which is the sole sponsor of a proposal in California to funnel $5 billion in state funds and $5 billion in Federal funs to this corporation which will indirectly help them create a giant wind farm in the Texas panhandle.

An overlooked story in November of 2007 shows that the T. Boone Pickens plan involves the private control of water, which Pickens wants to be able to sell to big cities via giant water pipelines which will be built on land seized under eminent domain.

How did he do this? He did this by pushing through a water district which consists of only 8 acres of land and then applying eminent domain to expand that district and seize land from local ranchers which, in the end, puts vital water resources under his private control.

Pickens needs money and he has not been able to find investors to pay for a $110 Billion Bond he wants his new water authority to issue, therefore he is piggy-backing the windmill plan on to the water infrastructure development plan to use the money obtained for the wind farms in order to pay for the water infrastructure, which was his original goal.

While these plans were in the works as of November 2007, with the creation of this water district, the energy company, CLNE, was offered for public investment in an IPO in May of 2007, an IPO that was not advertised, but which resulted in Nancy Pelosi quickly jumping on board. Nancy Pelosi Purchased between $50,000-$100,000 in CLNE stock on May 25, 2007 apparently on its initial public offering.

It is hard to tell if the water scheme is the device being used to seize the land or if the wind turbine scheme is the means by which he will fund the water scheme, but no matter what the case may be, Nancy Pelosi will personally profit from whatever he does as an investor.

I would like to ask "since the last election in Nov. 2004, the majority of the house and senate has been democratic, why havent they straightened out the problems in America"? They have had 4 years to work on it, but it has only gotten worse. It is their job to work for the American people, that is what they are elected to do. Don't blame the President, he or she can only do what they allow.
Maybe they are to busy taking care of their "pork belly" associates to see the problems we are facing.
I would like the Speaker of the House to answer this question in front of all the American people.

Why haven't you impeached the worst, most dishonest and corrupt president the USA has ever had? President Bush is practically ruined our country because of lies , greed, power and trying to change the constitution that he pledged to protect. Now that his term is practically
over, the Congress is only giving him a little "slap on the hand". It is also the fault of Congress that things have gotten so bad, because you let it happen. Obama is our only hope for America now. It is going to be a long haul to bring back the America that used to be, and that which it could be with the right leadership. If Obama can accomplish what he is pledging in this campaign, America will be better than it ever has been. Maybe I could be proud to be an American again.

In watching the convention on CNN, I have noticed that the commentators are referring to Obama as "African American". He is biracial, with a white mother and a father from Kenya. As far as I can see, this does not make him "African American". This tag seems to me a subtle attempt by commentators to lable him. I noticed that your CNN news page does the same thing.

The War issue has been twisted to the benefit of those who wish to profit to their own gains. They attack civil citizens with the humane questions. I served in viet nam and feel as an American that we must stand our post. Even to the point of seeing our beloved massacred. Its also my belief that the average citizen can not invision the hideous aggression of Evil People. They do not operate on a fair field of reasoning.Bush set the wrong agenda, but he accidently put a guard where we needed it most. Believe me Citizen. Someone must stand Guard. Unfortunatly that Guard and all Guards puts their life on the line. When the thief comes through the window, do you want to be ready to protect your family or wait and see what the intruded has plans for you and your family. Keep your heavenly dreams for Heaven, and your common sense solidly on the ground for you and your family.

I am completely torn in this election. I am an Independent voter and supported Hillary Clinton. I would have also supported Obama but he proved that he is really not listening and doesn't really care about what we think. If he were really there for us as he says then he would have respected the wishes of over 18,000,000 voters that chose Clinton by asking her to be his VP. Anyone who can completely ignore 18,000,000 voices obviously doesn't think he needs our votes. I give up. I voted for Al Gore in 2004 and now for Hillary. The DNC put on a good show at the convention but I have been told loud and clearly that my vote doesn't matter. So I give up!

During the Clinton years what majority controlled congress? (You know those people who actually set the budget in legislative action, the people who controll spending by the government). And who takes credit for the results.

How come unemployment was higher when Clinton was president than now? How come more people have health care now that 12 years ago? How come the economy is better now than it was 12 years ago, or 9 years ago?
Has anyone seen the metrics on the "Good state of the economy"?

Sarah Palin, and protecting our country?
Will she call our neighbor, Canada, and ask them to look out for us if violence starts because she has to attend a meeting?
That's what she did for her own sister and sister's kids on Feburary 17, 2005.
I read this in a police interview between Palin and Sgt. Wall pertaining to an incident at her sister's home.

Why does it seem to me as if there are some issues that nobody is just don't get?

With social security we have a system that seems to not work the way it should be. Now I don't know how much we have changed it around since it has started but I think the problem is it's focus.

It was started because of people having trouble saving for their retirement and a repsonse of the great depression. Wouldn't it be better to make it so people could get themsleves their on there own? I am at an age where I face the reality that I may not recieve this when I retire. I get SSI for income because I am disabled and unable to find a job in the town I live in, but I believe that I can move on, there are those who can't

Why not focus social security on the young. No, not me, but those who are younger than me. Those who aren't going to have it like I will. I think that I am one of the lucky ones. Not because of where I grew up, or how much money my family has, but because I see myself as somebody with enoguh creativity to find something for myself by using what I have.

I don't know how much somebody gets after they recieve social security, but it should be more than what I get per month for my SSI for the average worker. if you put it at 1000(again I don't know what all people get) that is 12000 a year. if they get that for ten years. that is 120,000 dollars that they get.

I know it isn't as easy for some to comprehend the idea of the elderly or just themselves not getting this but I think the concept of putting a bit of the focus on the young would do more long term.

1. base it on the family income. If a family can do more to help their kids, then they shouldn't need as much as somebody with less ability to provide
3. Help with education. Not just college, but we need to do more about education than put money into it, we need to innovate it. Not all kids learn the same. their needs to be a connection. I am one who didn't see tha connection in school and had many troubles, among other things.
3. Health care. there are ways to assist the current ideas of health care and putting something such as this would help. I don't know how the government would get the investment done, but the ability is there to do it.
4. We need to help kids learn about responsible spending, and making having money around them as inconvenient as possible. I have had problems with getting carried away with my money, so you know what I do now? I exchange whatever I can for coins. This makes it hard to carry around. Money needs to be seen as something that can be managed, and not spent.
5. Investing. If you learn how to invest your money into the right things, you will have a better future. Use a portion of it to invest in safer things.
6. Cost of living for families is important, and we know that kdis come into the equation. Depending on what is spent on food, allocate a portion of that to be sent back to the parents. This way they don't have to worry about finances as much as they do raising their kids.
6. balance everything. think of every aspect that would need a youth would need to grow and be able to support themselves when they grow up and work in the world.
7. slowly do this, don't rush it, and do it intelligently.

Most importantly, this is not about me or you or your grandparents or parents. I care about my future but why should I just care about my future? WHy not care about those who don't have it that well? Not just in my coutry, but the world. If we worry to much about oursleves, then where are we.

America is not one person, it is a country of different people. Why worry about what makes me different than somebody? Why worry about how much I think somebody is horrible because they live differently than I do? this is how I see things in politics, and many other areas where you put a group of people and comapre them to another. If we want unity, we don't want to unify just one part of anything.

Offshore drilling is something I am against, but why aren't you pointing out the fact that the oil companies aren't bound to just sell to us, they sell to whomever has the money. As it would lose investors, and they wouldn't want that.

And can somebody tell me why democrats aren't pushing the community organizer thing even more with Obama? Cna you say that anybody else would give up that amount of money to help people whom are having more issues with jobs than one can imagine.

I live in Wyoming, and where I live, I don't see as much issues here as one would see in CHicago. Not because of the leadership but because we have things that others don't that give us that money.

Also, back to education, why is the problem considered just how much the teachers are paid, or funding? I know the teachers aren't aid as much as they could be, but that isn't the issue. I have seen a lot of bright people not do as well as they could because of they way things have been taught. We have the technology in schools, but we aren't as open to them. We know how to use it, but we don't because we see that being old fashioned in teaching students is the only way to go. When will somebody wake up and notice they year? We live in a time where technology and methods of doing things have grown. We have the ability to be more open with how we teach youth things. I think buy using the structure we have, we limit potential to grow. It seems more like the schools are more or less trying to give you the answers than guiding. I learned more doing things non school related on my own just out of interest than I did when I was in the classroom. I guess you could call it me just asking a lot of questions but that is anothe problem. We need to not only be able to find the answer, but ask the question. Do the research. Learn the history of what lead up to Iraq instead of knowing part of what is going on now. Part of it is government but we need to be able to take the time and inform ourselves.

Anyways, to my FINAL question. Pretty good for somebody who is 20, and only has a GED after all of the time I spent in high school, isn't it?

Bailout will not repay taxpayers !
The bailout will not repay taxpayers! Nonperforming assets are defaulted loans on which the borrowers are in default for at least 90 days. Why will defaulted borrowers suddenly start paying their nonperforming loans when the Treasury buys them from Wall Street and banks? Treasury will have to foreclose homes, repo cars and boats and send credit card accounts to collections to recover just a fraction of the book value of the nonperforming loans. Holding defaulted loans long term will not make them perform. The bailout is a huge loss to tax payers!

September 25, 2008

This bailout is designed to enrich the weathly. All the taxpayer gets is the bill. We are in so deep that these billions of dollars are not going to help. We are only digging a deeper hole for ourselves. I just don't understand how you can be party to the biggest American sell out of all time; how in good conscience you can ignore our voices. Taxpayers elect officials to represent them. The majority rules, and we have said no. I can't remember the last time that any politcian actually represented the taxpayer by going with the majority. Why do we elect you and pay you if you don't do your job and represent our voice?

Recepie to prevent a grat global depression:
If USA government give 1 million dollars or more to each citizen of USA over 300 million Americans will be available to pay of their bills, Retire on time, Send kids to school and continue demanding all the goods in the world that employ millions and stop the hunger, create possibilities of progress and competitively will allow every body to get the stability and keep the global economy growing.
The American government do not consider this idea because they think no body will want to work, but what if in order to receive the money they have to continue working for at least 40 hours per week. The government can charge taxes on this money when is taking out of the every citizen accounts, no matter wish American receive th money. Every body will receive the same. If more natural disasters happen there will be money to rebuild and that big money invested and a lot of workers demand.
American People will travel again often, Will pay off their houses or remodel them, they will be available to educate more over seas so the money will circulate the world, we will spending more and any way at the end; This money is from citizens that had being living in America for generations working a lot and we deserve it.
More people may come to America to work and make the dreams come true.
This is a perfect way to attack the problem directly and not risking billions of dollars that evaporate in the market every day helping companies ready for bankrupt, If the people receive this money with this conditions will be a mayor direct impact to the economy making healthier our markets and the world market contributing for the peace.
