We received unprecedented video response to the Democratic
and Republican National Conventions, from full video packages to
simple speech responses done on Webcams. together, they helped tell
the whole story about the elections. Full CNN video packages were
created to stitch together all these stories and tell the full
story of what was going on.
At the
Democratic
convention in Denver, Colorado, we found that in the words of
videodoc,
there was truly
"something for
everyone." Everything from costumed people to protests to, of
course, political speeches. And,
maddogza's
ongoing submissions about an FAA computer glitch and finally making
it to the convention formed a frame for the whole story.
In St. Paul, Minnesota, the
Republican
convention was no less eventful with incredible political
discussion and a few protests. We even had conservative icon
Ben Stein step
up to the mobile iReport kit (our roving kiosk), and we got
up-close looks at the scene from bloggers and politicians. Citizen
journalism group
TheUptake
followed the protests closely.
When news happens near you, particularly a big event, we
encourage you to turn on your camera and show us what is going on
and how you feel about it.
Show us the big picture
on our little computer screens.

Obama is avoiding debates with McCain like the plague because he
knows McCain would reveal what he conceals, and would put him in
his place. Instead he chooses to have individual interviews he can
control. He had an interview at Colombia University (an extreme
left) last night, where Obama went to school! How convenient.
Obama thinks he can "change" these ruthless dictators' minds in other countries to stop war, when he can't even analyze his own preacher's mind that he's been seeing for 20 years! And when he did admit he didn't like some things his preacher was saying, Obama didn't stand up and talk to him about the issues. What a leader, rest assured we'll be safe in his hands. Even Biden admits Obama made the wrong VP choice, the obvious being Hillary. Through is self-centered ego, he now acknowledges he needs help, and befriends Bill Clinton as a new tactic and strategy, to gain Hillary hopefuls, making a deal with them, as the Clintons will do anything to get back in the White House. It's a joke. And a lesser known fact, 25% of Democrat Super Delegates are UNION members or WIVES of Union members as a cover-up. Obama has made deals with them because they fund him. So his priority is with the Unions, NOT the people. It's a fact. So many times in Obama's past, he voted "present" on issues the Unions didn't want him to vote for or against. That's why, because they control him. McCain refuses to be controlled by the unions, he works for the people.

You Dems crack me up!! You have the audacity to call Sara Palin on
ethics? Did you forget that your candidate is a thief, a liar a
terrorist and an anti-American supporting raciest? Oh and lets not
forget his little issue with drug addictions in the past.
It was not all that long ago, that your candidate got a free pass in the media and could do no wrong. No one knew who he was or what he was about and I submit you still don't except his overused lines about how he is going to change America, he has made no substantial statements about how he intends to make all this change!!! and besides change is not necessarily always good change. Oh ya, you forgot about that hu! So you have some double standard its ok for Obama but not for Palin. You want to argue that he is change, please give me one landmark legislation your candidate has sponsored or even put his name on. He misses more votes then he actually shows up to or he preserves his right to calim he is right by voting present but neither yes or no in the event somthing goes wrong wit hthe legislation he can calim he did not support it. You are so blind to vote in a black man just to make up for your granddaddies mistakes that you would follow the anti-Christ even if he was to reveal himself. All politicians have some form of corruption in their background. It pretty much comes with the territory. I can see that Sara Palin has a few issues that need sorting out and I assure you that the attack media will get their crack at her sooner or later to get some answers to those questions. Your candidate is no better; he will say or do anything to get elected. He supports Black Nationalism which is akin to a white candidate boldly stating I support the KKK. You think McCain would be this close neck and neck if he boldly stated I hate blacks and want to hang them all. No he'd be run out of politics faster then a snake bite would kill you. At least Palin is closer to you and me in everyday life and knows what it is to be a simple American. She was a small town mayor just two years ago. Bidin and even McCain are all life long politicians. Obama is a very inexperienced candidate not ready to be a president. I think with some time and effort he might be able to lead but right now he is pretty unequipped to be a commander and chief. And unfortunately for him we are at war right now. At least give Palin the same respect you gave your deadbeat candidate and let the issues come out and judge on substance and not party lines. She was a state politician, she was obviously involved in some stuff that can maybe be construed to look dishonest but we don't have all the facts yet. Obama is far from a perfect angel either. So judge on substance and quit you stereotypical whining about how she gets a free pass. I assure you that you would not pass the American test either. I for one think she is closer to understanding my issues then any one of the politicians in WA will ever be and I intend to give her a chance to fix Bush's failed policies. And one last thing McCain is not Bush even Obama voted 90% along the lines of Bush. They vote on such useless things every day that it is impossible to say Obama and Bush don't have a ton in common as well.

Let's be real about this election. It's not a lot of people that
will say what's really going on because it will not be the proper
thing to discuss, but It's a really big problem that we all try our
best to ignore. Whites know in their heart how they feel, and
Blacks don't want to bring it up cause they don't want whites to
say they are pulling the race card. But I say as long as the card is
in the deck, it's going to come in to play anyway. Ignoring a
problem won't make it go away.I heard many comments from whites
about Obama that were rude, and nothing was said, but he makes one
comment that get's taken out of context and america is all over it.
I really wonder when are we going to wake up to the truth, I know
Obama is not going to win this election because the majority of
this counrty don't want a black man running it. No one would admit
it even a lot of blacks because We would rather fake like race is
not a factor in this country. The truth is the the majority of this
country need to humble themselves and choose who is right for this
counrty and stop being so hateful. It's a shame that they would
rather go through another four years of what went on the last eight
years cause of the color of and mans skin. Shows just how far we've
come america.

This campaign season is very much the same old politic's, BORING,
their both boring!
Quit crying about what the other person said and stick to the Issue's that matter to US, remember US the middle class. When President Clinton ran for president he stuck to the same message, The Economy Stupid! They both talk about change, one has very limited description of what he wants to achieve and the other one just talks about change and reform with a life history lesson of a heroic military career. You two gentlemen don't focus on the issue's that matter to us the most, then my vote will go toward a third party candidate, maybe!
|
September 12, 2008 2 months ago |
I am so disappointed in both parties. The attacks are distracting
the voters from the real issues. Let's use the air time to tell the
public what we are proposing for change, not to talk about what
each party is doing wrong.
As an independent, I am at a stand still. I see the republicans using the same juvenile tactics that they have used for the past 20 years. I love the line that we need less goverment, well, look at the past 8 years compared to the Clinton years. Enough said already!!!! Stop the lies and the attacks. As a forty year old professional woman, please look at Palin. She is in no way prepared to be the vice president. Stop looking at gender and start looking at her resume!!! She wants to take away your right to choose and has a record of accepting and asking for earmarks. The higest per capita in the U.S.!!!! More republican spin and more lies!!!!! I want to know more about Joe Biden. Where is his equal media coverage???!!!!!! May God bless us all!! Pray for those in the path of Ike!!! Stop giving all of your airtime to Palin. I am sick of it!!!

What is the big deal with Palin not beeing ready to lead the
country?
She can shoot a gun, and is most likely a better shot than the present vice president, and best of all she'll make a great Republican " Pin-Up girl ".

You are my Republican of Republicans John McCain.
At some point I hope you will tell us of your more cohesive plans for going forward economically or any other way. And why, Senator McCain, do you conjure up the the final gasping efforts of Ross Perot in your ads, ie, "I am a faithful Annapolis cadet ...", etc. We know that, but we need a president.

I got this email today , could THIS be true?
Sep 10, 2008 09:16:00 AM, My Holiday with McCain It was just before John McCain's last run at the presidential nomination in 2000 that my husband and I vacationed in Turtle Island in Fiji with John McCain, Cindy, and their children, including Bridget (their adopted Bangladeshi child). It was not our intention, but it was our misfortune to be in close quarters with John McCain for almost a week since Turtle Island has a small number of bungalows and their focus on communal meals force all vacationers who are there at the same time to get to know each other intimately. He arrived at our first group meal and started reading quotes from a pile of William Faulkner books with a forest of Post-Its sticking out of them. As an English Literature major myself, my first thought was "if he likes this so much, why hasn't he memorized any of this yet?" I soon realized that McCain actually thought we had come on vacation to be a volunteer audience for his "readings" which then became a regular part of each meal. Out of politeness, none of the vacationers initially protested at this intrusion into their blissful holiday, but people's buttons definitely got pushed as the readings continued day after day. Unfortunately this was not his only contribution to our mealtime entertainment. He waxed on during one meal about how Indo-Chine women had the best figures and that our American corn-fed women just couldn't meet up to this standard. He also made it a point that all of us should stop Cindy from having dessert as her weight was too high and made a few comments to Amy, the 25 year old wife of the honeymooning couple from Nebraska that she should eat less as she needed to lose weight. McCain's appreciation of the beauty of Asian women was so great that David the American economist had to move his Thai wife to the other side of the table from McCain as McCain kept aggressively flirting with and touching her. Needless to say I was irritated at his large ego, and his rude behavior towards his wife and other women, but decided he must have some redeeming qualities as he had adopted a handicapped child from Bangladesh . I asked him about this one day and his response was shocking -"Oh, that was Cindy's idea - I didn't have anything to do with it. She just went and adopted this thing without even asking me. You can't imagine how people stare when I wheel this ugly, black thing around in a shopping cart in Arizona . No, it wasn't my idea at all." I actively avoided McCain after that, but unfortunately one day he engaged me in a political discussion which soon got us on the topic of the active US bombing of Iraq at that time. I was shocked when he said "if I was in charge, I would nuke Iraq to teach them a lesson". Given McCain's personal experience with the horrors of war I had expected a more balanced point of view. I commented on the tragic consequences of the nuclear attacks on Japan during WWII - but no, he was not to be dissuaded. He went on to say that if it was up to him he would have dropped many more nuclear bombs on Japan . I rapidly extricated myself from this conversation as I could tell that his experience being tortured as a POW didn't seem to have mellowed out his perspective but rather had made him more aggressive, and vengeful towards the world. My final encounter with McCain was on the morning that he was leaving Turtle Island . Amy and I were happily eating pancakes when McCain arrived and told Amy that she shouldn't be having pancakes because she needed to lose weight. Amy burst into tears at this abusive comment. I felt fiercely protective of Amy and immediately turned to McCain and told him to leave her alone. He became very angry and abusive towards me, and said "don't you know who I am" and I looked him in the face and said "yes, you are the biggest asshole I have ever met" and headed back to my cabin. I am happy to say that later that day when I arrived at lunch I was given a standing ovation by all the guests for having stood up to McCain's bullying. Although I have shared my McCain story informally with friends, this is the first time I am making this public. I almost did so in 2000, when McCain first announced his bid for the Republican nomination but it soon became apparent that George Bush was the shoo-in candidate and so I did not act then. However, now that there is a very real possibility that McCain could be elected as our next president, I feel it is my duty as an American citizen to share this story. I can't imagine a more scary outcome for America than that this abusive, aggressive man should lead our nation. I have observed him in intimate surroundings as he really is, not how the media portrays him to be. If his attitudes toward women, and his treatment of his own family are even a small indicator of his real personality, then I shudder to think what will happen to America were he to be elected as our President. What's going on?
I am trying to figure out what's happening in this country. I watched almost every news network, and I came to a conclusion that the democrats have no representation. Also, no one dare criticize a right wing candidate. I think Bill Clinton was Right. The right wing has subdued the Main stream media. I have watched Fox News and the rest of the media Network talked about Barack Obama relationship with his Pasteur and others. They implied Barack Obama was somehow sharing the mistakes of his accountancies. We all witness what happened to main stream media when they tried to talk about: A) John McCain Relationship with the lady lobbyist in the senate B) Sarah Palin relationship with her Pasteur who said that Jews were being punished by God. C) Sarah Palin pregnant daughter D) Sarah Palin 20 year membership to the church that speaks in tongue. Main Stream media had to apologize for trying to educate the public about John McCain and Sarah Palin. They might be in the Whitehouse; Why is the media shy away from all this. Another injustice to the democrats us the fact CNN has Lou Dobbs pretending to be independent while adopting right wing view (immigration), but no one counter that view: how could that balanced. Lou Dobbs is forcing his view every single day, while other point of views are not represented. At night there is Glenn Back, but no one counter his views. There is no balance. We went to war because the media could not there second guessing Bush, yet they went after Clinton for his extramarital affair. The media go after democrats with so much force and passion, but they cannot dare questioned Republican. I think misleading people to war is worst extramarital affair. I hope the public will hold Main Stream media accountable for its failure to serve the nation. This is a SAD time in the history of our nation. As long this injustice exist, there will never be democrat in the Whitehouse. Democrats are strongly criticize while Republicans are given a Free Pass.

Monkey see monkey do your blog is interesting I have been
attempting to get my head around the media language I believe
language has been hijacked and distorted the latest example is the
word change however this is not a new strategy it is clever,
cunning and may tip this election to McCain it seems the main
stream media remain unwilling to speak of the gears and cogs that
drive there reporting would you bite the hand that feeds you.
PS. This is a bit chessy be warned. The price of freedom, Who's freedom? Who gets this freedom? Well you of course, but what is the currency and who pays? The currency is freedom it's self. Maybe not your freedom but someone's and the majority of the bill is paid by the repressed and impoverished of our world. So lets be honest here when McCain and Bush say war is the price of freedom they mean that the repression of some gives others freedom. I can understand this and even accept it as justifiable; assuming of course I wasn't already free otherwise I'm buying something I don't need, cant use, that may even interfere with the perfectly good freedom I'm already using and it's not cheap. The good news is if you've been sold a nice shiny new freedom that you never use you can take it back, someone else can give it a good home. So if you're shopping for change don't buy it from the same place you got your spear freedom and watch out for cheap knock offs! You can tell by the label "made in experience" or "experience means change" the original label reads "change we can believe in" and includes a little bottle of freedom polish to keep America's freedom nice and shiny.

Senator McCain has forfeited his claim to put "country first" with
his selection of Gov.Palin as his running mate and potential
president, should anything happen to him. Given all the positives
about her as givens, attractive, vivacious, smart, etc., she
remains a shallow and clueless woman in terms of the domestic and
international issues of the day. She is scary because she appears
to be without sufficient self-awareness to comprehend what she
might be getting herself and the rest of us into.I am not
particularly delighted by being represented by a barracuda/pit bull
when diplomacy, nuanced responses, depth of understanding of the
problems that face us seem not to be where the Governor sits. The
image that flashed across my mind following her initial session
with "Charlie" was the last scene from Dr. Strangelove. Senator
McCain, what have you done?

What is going on in the minds of the people (women) who strongly
supported Senator Hillary Clinton. Did they support her because
they belived in her strength and her ability to lead this country
OR did they simply support her because she was a women.
Some of those women are going over to Senator McCain is it because they now believe that the Rep. Party is the the party that will guide us to a better country or are they so simple minded that just because a women (Sara Palin) in now in the race that they have moved their supportto McCain/Palin. I would hope to believe that their support for Senator Hillary Clinton was because of her ability not her gender. If it was just because she is a female then you are all doing a dis-service to the rest of the female population including your daughter's and sons. Senator Hillary Clinton is a survior she will do great things for this country, for our families and children for years to come. No matter what your reasons were or are for changing your support to McCain/Palin I encourage you to search your hearts and minds for the real reasons your supported Senator Hillary Clinton in the first place. If you truly belived in her ability to lead our country then you must continue to support her by suporting the democratic party & Obama/Biden just as Senator Hillary Clinton is doing. If it was only because she was a women then support the "other" women. The inferior women, the one that can not hold a candle to Sen. Hillary Clinton now or in the future. I will support Senator Hillary Clinton all the way to the White House in the next election. Bwallace

I really don't care whether our candidates are female, black or
old. I want to hear what each of them plan to do about ALTERNATIVE
fuels, globel warming and our dependance on foreign oil. DRILL,
DRILL, DRILL is NOT the answer. More drilling will destroy our
waters, kill off our animals and cause more CO2 emissions in the
air. Governor Palin wants to drill in Alaska for the soul purpose
of bringing more money into her state, since all the residence get
a subsidy from the oil profits. Maybe she should try and create
green jobs for them to earn more money rather than be on the dole.
Drilling in Alaska will not bring us any oil for 20 years and then
not enough to sustain us or prevent us from being dependent on
foreign oil. I want to hear how "green" jobs can be created to help
this economy and our environment. Where have these people been
these last 50 years. In the next 50 years we could be extinct as a
species if we don't start now to save our forests, animals, waters
and air. When President Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can
do for you, but what can you do for your country", he was so right.
We have lost that idea and have become a "me, me, me" society. Just
look at all the Hummers driving around. They are just funding the
terrorists. All the money going to Saudi Arabia and the middle east
is being funneled to the extremists. Why has the middle east,
especially Saudi Arabia, Dubai and other middle east countries
become so modern and advanced. DUH! Well, anyway, the candidates
have to start talking about what is really important to the people
of this country and tell the truth. And I certainly don't think a
"soccer mom" is qualified to make the kind of decisions that will
make my life more safe or solve the problems of the country for
future generations. BKephart

Here we are in this day and age of computers and the all mighty
television, plus the news media. If all the speculation and
observation that we jester on about the experience of Governor
Palin along with television and the news media were in place for
Abraham Lincoln, he might not have been elected! Thus History would
have been changed DRASTICALLY ! You would have caused a great man
to not have been elected. I'm not comparing the governor to Mr.
Lincoln. I'm simply pointing out that Greatness is not always
attached to Experience. Now you say OH! That was long ago and you
cant compare the responsibility of a President today! Not true
because the Civil War was one of the most challenging times for a
President to endure with no experience. Mr. Lincoln came from a
VERY SMALL TOWN. Now, just think if he had not been elected. When
you vote remember one thing. A President that has a Vice President
that has the ability to get things done and is backed by the
American people will pull us through these hard times. And that is
Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin!

Post articles on Obama's campaign and post articles on McCains
record .One interesting bit of information I just read was on
McCains health record and how he is not being straight with the
people about his envasive melonoma (cancer).Should this man become
our next president there is more than a 50/50 chance he wouldn't
finish his term and then the country will again get a president
unfit to lead !

There is too much bull between McCain/Palin, really do they think
americans are that stupid. Both McCain and Palin are both liars who
will say anything to win. They're not talking about the issues,
just talking crap about Obama, and when they do it's a bunch of
bull. Obama now have to fight back about all the lies from McCain,
and it puts a halt on what Obama really wants to talk about. As for
who has the best idea for the economy, no hands down Obama wins.
Really, Obama has the right idea. The economy is only as strong as
the wealth of the American people, not the corporate big shots.
Look the economy is like a tree, in order for the tree to stand
strong its needs strong roots (American people). The roots provide
life and growth for the tree, no roots no tree. If Obama wants to
give less tax cuts to the wealthy the economy will still be strong,
it's like trimming the big hanging branches on the tree. And in
turn the tree grows back even stronger.

To all Americans,
If you vote for McCain's change you are indorsing 90% of the last 8 years of bush. You are claiming the blood of more than 150,000 human beings on your own hands And you will own a more than $5 trillion dollar used gas guzzling war. You must only complain about your own lack of judgment and weak intellect if 10% change is all you get and if you whine don't tell me because you brought it You will be pitching a self described pit bull with lip stick against the world's most difficult trigger happy leaders many nuclear armed. You are giving a middle finger to the rest of the world on behalf of all Americans And on behalf of the world Ill give it back. Because this election is not a vote for Obama or McCain this is a referendum on who and what you stand for America. McCain may be Georgian when it suits but these days we are all Americans but only some get to vote others just get to hope. Jake Barrer Westport, New Zealand

Normally I'm not one to blog my comments but after reading and
hearing how the Republicans are trying to prevent the investigation
of Palin's Troopergate from going forward by claiming it's bias
against her by the Democrats, I've finally broke down and am
expressing my utter most disgust with the Republicans. As far as
I'm concerned, they don't have the best interest of the American
people in mind. They're being selfish and only care about
themselves.
First, according to the news I've read and heard, there are 10 Republicans in the investigation committee and 4 Democrats. How can that be bias? More Republicans than Democrats? Hmmm... And this investigation was started before Palin was elected to be the VP candidate. Why are the Republicans all of a sudden so concern and doing all they can to stop this investigation? Could it be there's truth to these accusations of abusive power by Palin? From my point of view and opinion, Palin has abused her powers and will continue to do so as well as McCain and the Republicans if elected. However, it's not up to me to decide that. It's up to the justice department to decide based on the facts, without obstruction to those facts, and I, as a true American abide by their final decision. If Palin had been a democrat, you can be sure that the Republicans wouldn't be crying "foul" or "bias" in this investigation. They wouldn't try to obstruct justice from proceeding as granted in the US Constitution. No person is above the law yet, the Republican feel they are, especially when it doesn't favor them. They would say that this investigation is fair and justified if Palin was a democrat. But she's not, she's a Republican so therefore, she's a good person, a goodie two shoes, and wouldn't do anything to break the law or abuse her powers as governor. Bull! Stop trying to destroy our Constitution and legal system in this investigation! Be man (or woman) enough to face the music. You screwed up, pay the consequences! And this applies to both, Republicans or Democrats. You do wrong, you pay the consequences. Don't delay this. Stop being crybabies and spoiled brats!! Just because it's not going "your way" doesn't justify your actions or give you the right to prevent justice from being served. The Republicans have already screwed up our country in almost every way possible. And not only domestically, but internationally. Four more years of the same bull will finish destroying the country I love and am proud of. I'm tired of hearing the "ultra-conversative" right wing morons talk about how they are the answer to America and anyone who thinks differently are wrong. Wake up America! You've been blinded by the Bush administration and their cronies like Cheney, Rumsfeld, McCain and Palin for 8 years and it's time we, the people, stop them from completely destroying our country. It's our constitutional right! Vote them out of office!! I compare the mentality of the conservative right wing Republicans the same as the Islamic fanatics. Only difference is it's Christian fanatics who want everyone to live by their rules and discrediting, chastising, intimidating and whatever other means and methods they use for those who don't agree with them. This is America where people have the right to live their lives (within the laws) as they choose, not as a small group of fanatics choose. Get over yourselves Republicans, you're not God. If, as a Republican, you truly believe in, are proud of and love the American way, you won't prevent justice from being served. That's democracy! NO ONE is above the law!! It's clearly stated in our Constitution! By the way, I'm neither a Democrat or Republican. I vote according to who I feel is the best candidate for the presidency regardless of what party they belong to. I don't belong to the Democrat or Republican parties. Don't want to. I vote for the lesser of two evils. In this election, it's definitely not the Republicans. It hasn't been for 8 years. I have voted Republican in the past, long, long time ago. In my opinion, the Republicans have lost sight of what's best for ALL the people and have focus on what's best for their people and selfish needs. That's not the American way.

How is it that both parties can raise $40M - $60M dollars within a
few months, but our government can't seem to raise real money to
offset our deficit/national debt?? They keep borrowing, or
collateral borrowing from other countries, putting us more in debt,
and to more people. Our government should raise money in the same
manner that the candidates do if that's what brings unattached, no
conditions funding, and start feeding good money into our economy.
U.S., please stop digging us deeper, it's actually part of the
cause of our current economic situation!!

Hello cyberspace! I've got an idea for how to solve the healthcare
problem. Thought I'd post it and see how people react. Be as
critical as you can and tell me your criticisms. That's how I
improve things.
The Round Table Plan: A proposed healthcare policy initiative Objective: A healthcare policy initiative that has equal consideration for all parties involved in the healthcare industry, these being four: 1. the investors in health insurance companies 2. the health insurance companies themselves 3. Healthcare providers (hospitals, doctors, etc.) 4. Patients SECTION I This policy initiative shall be based on a strict financial model that answers the following considerations: • How much money does a given insurance company need to generate to cover costs, salaries and provide substantial dividends to the investors? • How much money does a given hospital need to generate to cover costs, salaries and other expenses? • How much can members of different income brackets afford for membership fees and needed medical cares and procedures? (This will be discussed in later detail in SECTION VI): SECTION II The following statistical information will be required for successful implementation: • The average number of times a specific type of care is given in a specific time frame. (For example, 322 checkups performed in one calendar year or 276 bypass surgeries performed in the average quarter, etc). • Given the known financial needs of the insurance companies and hospitals, as well as the individual income brackets of HMO members (As illuminated in Section I), set pricing for all types of medical care will be established. (For example, $20.00 for a check up or $25,000 for a biopsy, etc.) These prices will be based on the financial requirements of the investors, healthcare companies and hospitals, as well as the yearly averages of how many times a given procedure can be expected to be performed. Equal consideration will also be given to the individual income brackets of the HMO members in determining these set prices and is discussed further in SECTION IV. SECTION III Healthcare membership fees will be based on the following: • The known financial requisites of the investors, the expected financial expenditures of insurance companies and hospitals • The specific income brackets of HMO members and non-members • The expected financial expenditure (EFE) of insurance companies to cover specific care costs. (For example, United Health can expect to spend 1.2 million dollars on checkups this year at a set and established price of $20.00 per checkup). SECTION IV Given the known financial needs of investors, insurance companies and hospitals, set prices for healthcare membership fees and specific types of care will be established. (For example, $50.00 a month for membership, $20.00 for checkups, $120.00 for X-rays, etc.) Thus, every type of care (whether surgery, a checkup, specific types of emergency care, etc.) has a set price. In addition, yearly averages for how many times a specific type of care is performed will be known. This will enable insurance companies and hospitals to establish mutually beneficial standard prices for any given type of care, enabling insurance companies to meet their financial obligations and hospitals to meet theirs. THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT HMO members and patients unable to meet monthly membership fees can apply for government healthcare assistance.

If the government is bailing everyone out, why can't they owen
their own oil wells and get their selves out of debt by investing
in them selves.

well i am not from america. i live in ja and i watch the elections
everyday and trust me what i m seein isnt fair at all to Obama.
John McCain is not being bashed as how Obama is being bashed. the
journalism and views shared obviously is for Mccain for most of the
part. i hardly hear what McCain is doing wrong. if it was Obama
lying like McCain it would've been the end of his campaign for
president but america cant seem to just come out and say i don't
want a black man ruling my country. i dont think no where is it
being fair on Obama. if it was McCain inspiring america as how
Obama is doing it it wouldn't be questioned. this election isnt
about experience or anything like that it is about race and
stupidity. John McCain and the republicans are bad for america and
if ther cant see in my country we would say "dog eat your supper."
Lou Dobbs is a republican just as how Glen Beck is they are bad for
CNNs journalism and so everything is topped in John McCains favour
but Obama is gonna prevail; i believe it so much.

it's me again the guy from Jamaica. if america can't see that John
McCain is doing anything he can to win the they are racist and all
that. not to say that Obama is perfect he is far from that be he is
perfect for the job of being america's next president. i saw the
other that woman from the show "The View" how she discriminated and
for a woman she showed how unintellectual she was and no 1 did
anything about that. as a matter of fact no one did anything to her
by suspending her or anything. but if soem1 said anything bad about
McCain's wife it would've been so publicized that the person who
did it would've been chatised and it wouldn't be the end of the
story no 1 did anything much about it. even this pick of McCain,
Sarah Palin what she did and her daughter and all that if this was
Michelle Obama in her shoes it would've been the end of Obama.
Michelle Obama, being black would've been chatized and talked about
so much that it would've sunk her and her husband campaign, but no
Sarah Palin is glorified and seen as the right person for the job
of vice president. McCain and the republicans stifles my dream of
wanting to visit america but if they are still in charge i don't
wanan come there anymore cause republicans and every1 that follows
them are stupid and blind and i think the republican is a cult that
kills and destroys the people of any society. this is coming from a
view of a jamaican who lives in jamaica and is fascinated with
america but to the way things are goin gfor the last 8 yrs i want
nothin gto do with america. if i am going to be chatized for
freedom of speech then i understand.
Martin Luther King "I have a Dream Speech" is just word of mouth for some people. soemtimes to the rate of racism in america, y celebrate the man and his life and all that and yet still other races are marginalized. come on america open up your eyes the world is wacthing and from where i sit and know the world isnt behind McCain and the republicans but 100% behind Obama; white black, pink yellow whatever the colour of the race outside america they support Obama peace out

I'm a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight.....
If you grow up in Hawaii, raised by your grandparents, you're "exotic, different." If you grow up in Alaska eating moose burgers, it's a quintessential American story. If your name is Barack you're a radical, unpatriotic secret Muslim. If you name your kids Willow, Trig and Track, you're a maverick. If you graduate from Harvard law School you are unstable. If you attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you're well grounded. If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate's Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran's Affairs committees, you don't have any real leadership experience. If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you're qualified to become the country's second highest ranking executive. If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 beautiful daughters, all within Protestant churches, you're not a real Christian. If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife after a serious car accident and married the heiress the next month, you're a Christian. If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society. If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state's school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you're very responsible. If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave that up to raise a family, your family's values don't represent America's values. If you're husband is nicknamed "First Dude", with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn't register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable. OK, much clearer now.

America suffers of the abused spouse syndrome. It is a wellknown
fact that a lot of people choose to stay in a relationship that is
harmfull, just because they are too fearfull to start fresh.
I guess those that still stay behind the republican party, still hope that their abusive relationship will turn into a beautiful butterfly. It's your right to keep believing. Still, understand that what is happening now is your intervention. You have a choice now. You are offerd a new beginning, a opportunity to a fresh start. It is your decision if you continue to allow yourself to be abused by the republican party, or if you choose to start fresh with obama. Everything that we do has it's own reward or punishment. We all have to be very aware of what we really want. Do we want to evolve or stay in a abusive relationship.

Call me selfish if you will, but I dont care. I am retired and
getting $30,000 a year and with Obama's plan, it will put another
$300 in my pocket to spend each month. My Grandkids will get a
$4,000 tax credit which enable them to continue college. My son
will have health insurance, and I will get a deduction on my health
premiums. McCain is going to lower taxes on the rich and give
Middle America absolutely nothing. Watch CNN's fact finding
segment, and McCain has lied about Obama in several ads. This is
not an honorable man and cannot be trusted. He hasn't a clue on how
Middle America lives and doesn't really care. Palin doesn't have
any foreign policy experience and she may be running the country if
something should happen to McCain. What a scarey thought. Wake up
people. Obama is the only way to go!!

YES YOU CAN, CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN . I GIVE WHY NOT QUIT MY JOB
GO RIGHT DOWN TO THE WELFARE OFFICE WHY? because OBAMA has control
of my needs YES HE DOES. I want that free education and health care
I want the free food and heat. Oh i want OBAMA to hang the
corporations and whip them to death because I deserve the equal
treatment in this country. I don"t have to work for it OBAMA will
give it to me YES HE CAN. My boss should be taxed a lot more money
if fact he should lay me off so and give my salary to OBAMA and i
will never work again YES I CAN free to me on the backs of others
what a deal that is. Heck don't worry OBAMA is looking out for me i
do not have to do a thing he has my back. Well my back has just
once again given large private companies a free pass and I know my
babies will bear those scars. Bush as stated put us 4 trillion more
in debt can you tell me who did the other 6 trillion. Oh do not
forget OBAMA LOVES his friends at fannie and freddie YES WE CAN
have a house you cant afford YES WE CAN because OBAMA HAS MY BACK
awaiting for me if i elect him everything but my self-worth is
supplied by him. Not a bad trade off selling your soul. 2 and 1/2
trillion dollars a year gives each american young and old 12,000
dollars pretty expensive government we have. now 10 trillion in
debt gives us each 30 thousand wow we are above rich OOPS i mean
our government that you will elect . so if it is money that decides
your vote VOTE OBAMA YES YOU CAN money is all he needs and taxes
will supply it. Wait tax cuts for 95 percent of americans and OBAMA
SO SMART only 5 percent can handle the needs of everyone else.
seems we are of a small minded people . Where is the self worth
within yourself. A give me kind of county is a bad idea.
