what about asking where the oil goes if we drill in Alaska. to the gas pumps here? to the world market?
How does this benefit us?

September 09, 2008

Canada is selling their oil to China, and she will sell hers to the HIGHEST BIDDER as we have all witnessed.

There is about 6 months worth based off the findings provided in National Geo reports etc. Is it worth it?
And people don't get that drilling TODAY doesn't actually get you anything for about 3+ years or more till it's built. Why invest on that type of infrastructure for an obsolete source and instead plow that money into the alternative sources we need.

There is NO benefit to the American people at all if they don't get their heads thinking clearly. I am just bewildered at the reports of the REP ticket gaining on the DNC. Then I have to remind myself that still in 2008 less than 25% of our population has bothered to become college educated which enables one to be able to distill information that is spouted off, dig for clarification of what is said, and to be more inquisitive about their world to a depth which is more than what they hear on the nano-second attention span news that our media provides.

Wake up everyone. Substance over style. Truth & Commitment over Lies & Smoke & Mirrors.

WOMEN WAKE UP! Can you seriously believe in a women, mother who thinks that handing off her new born special needs child so that she can satisfy her own egocentric self is the type of person you want to lead the nation?
The same woman who talked about supporting the special needs families of America when she reduced Alaska's budget for single mom's and special needs programs from 10M down to 3+M? Is this her? Is this the woman you have been waiting your life time to vote for?

PLEASE!

My question is this. What is different about Sarah Palin saying we are on a mission from God in Iraq, and me saying I woke up this morning after having a vision from my God, and my God said she is the devil incarnate, and she should be killed? The crazed christion far right thinks they're better than everyone else, but guess what, I'm a christain too, and I have some conservative views and some liberal ones. Unfortunately anyone with a different point of view is crazed or a pure liberal. They just don't get it when it comes to a bloody war where 100,000 innocent Iraq children, women and men who had nothing to do with 9-11-01 have died, after the coward ex-alcoholic George Bush unleashed his beliefs on the middle east where he thinks man's final battles will be fought before the "rapture", when the skies will open and only Palin, Bush and their followers will be saved. How sick. They are the crazy ones who were brainwashed as children or coerced later on in life by some self-serving evangelist with a scam to run. Religion is the greatest scam in the history of mankind.

I cannot believe how gullable the media is and how dumb the people of the United States are. The Republicans have a staff of all these educated people working for them but not enough brains between them to come up with their own campaign. They have to steal everything from Obama. I don't have enough time to write all the things they have taken from them and who is running for President, Palin or McSame. And for the polls, who cares. The Republicans can stick that 1/8 of 1% of the population poll you know where. Wake up people. Do the Republicans have more than one speech on their campaign trail. I am so tired of hearing that agitating voice of Sarah Palin and her dumb*** bridge and ebay jet. Wake up people. The Republicans aren't saying anything and I'm still waiting for McSame to finish a sentence without going taking a nap. Read between the lines. They are saying, " We don't know what the hell we are doing". This is Obama vs. McSame not the bored woman from Alaska.

Karaoke, well said. We have been taken for a ride. From a black point of view; we taught the world religion. If we did not have a Horus, the Romans would never have a jesus. To make a long story short...there isn't anything in the bible that is original. Nothing!

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY WE LEASE LAND TO OIL COMPANY'S AND THEN WHATEVER THEY FIND THEY GET TO KEEP? ISN'T THIS BACKWARDS? WHAT DON'T WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE OWN THE OIL THAT COMES FROM THE GROUND AND THEN THE BIG OIL COMPANIES CAN MAKE MONEY BASED ON HOW FAST, CLEAN, EFFICIENTLY THEY DRILL? OIL AND COAL AND WATER ARE NATURAL RESOURCES. WHEN DID WE DECIDE TO GIVE IT AWAY? THE AMERICAN PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO "BUY OUT" THE BIG OIL COMPANIES. LETS DO IT OURSELF

Lets have a serious debate over man made global warming. The planets temperature has never been constant. Lets get this debate over with. Is Man The Cause of Global Warming. Prove It. Who on this planet knows what the temperature should be? Al Gore, the man who has made $100 million since his movie? Is global warming another fad that the environmentalists are using to control and prohibit the growth and prosperity of this country?

I would like to know who is going to hold the ceo's and other mgmt people at Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac accountable for their actions or lack thereof? We confiscate the belongings of drug dealers, why not them? They have done horrific damage to the taxpayers, and yet we may give them a severance package? Hell, I would take their salaries they have "earned" while in their positions since they clearly did not do their jobs. I am a single professional who pays school taxes willingly. I do not have a mortgage, nor do I think I should shoulder any financial reponsibilitiy for this failure. So, what are we doing about this? Who is being held accountable, other than the innocent taxpayers?

Pattie: Your not alone in what your viewing of whats going on.Its just the way it is now, subject to change, and its continued to keep going on for the last 8 years ,during the republican parties nominee Bush/Cheney took charge of the White House. So this is yet another reason for real change that is needed.Change is needed and we can start with voteing the republican party out of the White House. And Vote In the Democratic Party into the White House for the next 4 years.Perhaps Obama/Biden and there administration will do something about the problem you have stated in your comment and bring real change that is needed not just in that area but in many areas. We need real agents of change in our White House and not republicans . The Republicans have had 8 years to get it all together and organized and they failed they made it worse for the majority 95% of the American People middle class and Poor.It bothers me also Pattie.Id change it forthe better if I could, but Iam just one American in many. One voice crying in the wilderness,If you know what I mean. Palin was For the Alaska Bridge to No Where before she was against it.The problem is our Congress approved it then sent Her the Money, Millions of US Tax Payers Money. Then as the Alaska bridge to nowhere was cancelled. Governor Palin didnt return the US Tax Payers money that was going to be used to build the bridge to no where.Congress apparently approvedHer tokeep the money and spendit on what ever she wanted to in Alaska or on the Alaskaians.Did the Alaskaians get a nice rebate check that all the rest of us didnt get?So it seems. It was alot of cash, millions I wonder where it all went?I hope she spent it wisely.

The campaign ad (teaching sex ed before kids can read) that Mcain/ Palin ticket has put out is the most foul ad I've seen in any election. McCain/ Palin has hit an all time low. It's so untrue, that Independents like me will vote for Obama/ Biden. Half truths and dirty politics are just as bad as the fear tactics.

I would like to know if Sarah was not a woman, would she be scrutinized like she is now?? She is a remarkable woman, with a beautiful family..She is what every woman, wants to be, Go Sarah Go..

She is not hiding her family, if she did, they would say she has something to hide, she has her own little group of young people helping her out ..

For all you mothers, grand-mothers, mothers with children with disabilities, stick with her, she understands where you are coming from, get in touch personnaly with her....
.
She is above all a mother, what is the difference with her, or a mother that is sent to war?? that military mom, has to leave her children with either one parent or with grand-parent, Sarah has a husband, probabaly a whole house full of help , I do not see any problem for her to replace McCain should it happens, McCain is in good health, remember they do take care of them when they become sick,,,he his not going to die in 4yrs, why worry for something that is not going to happen.....Shame on you all for suggesting that he may die soon......

Sarah, we in Canada are also into an election, if they do not treat you well in the USA, we would welcome you anytime here at home, hope you do get to come to visit our country, we understand, and we do not judge and put anyone into the wringer like they do elsewhere.

Have a good campaign, I am watching ...

We should discuss the American election/politics impact for the rest of the world. Everybody talks about it. And it is obviously important to have strong allies.
It is no secret the the Bush Administration (mainly due to the Iraq War) hurt the friendship/relationship with a lot of countries. What is going on in the world? I'm sure there are a lot of international IReporters out there or reporters who have friends/family abroad. How do they feel about the election and America right now?

I would like someone in the state of Arizona to please check out a small privledged in the know circle w/in the state. It seems someone in that group has let it out that John McCain, if not elected will retire next spring due to failing health. This was one of two possibilities, the other was retirement was imminent, due to failing health and he would spend one yr. in office to help his running mate sarah palin, get her feet on the ground, and then retire. Any information to validate or prove this rumor to be correct will be very important to this country's immediate future.

I would like to say that Gov. Palin put it on herself when she said that the different between a pitbull and a hockey mom is the lipstick. We all know that a pitbull is the most dangerous animal there is an it can not be trusted,so, that should let people know that if she compare herself to a pittbull then she can't be trusted. Also she wants to step in the yard with the big dogs then treat her like one.Reggie from missouri 314-382-9786

The most critical issue of this election, regarding the candidates for Vice-President, is who could instantly become a world leader and President if something happens to the President. Is Sarah Palin ready for that task...that is my ulitmate question.

Jebere...

Why not ask that of Barak Hussein Obama? The biggest decision he ever made was whether to buy cocaine or crack. Or whether to come out as a Muslim or remain in the closet.
But seriously, he has no foreign policy experience. His senate tenure is extremely short, with lots of abstensions. Though in Ilinois, he voted FOR teaching children in kindergarten about homosexual sex and marriage.
Quite a guy. Someone we can all be proud of.

If we want to illimnate the problem we have to look at the cause of the problem. Then we can decide on the solution by illiminating the cause.
If women want to be equal with men then they have to play by the same rules that men have to play by.
Why are we not asking the very same questions that we would ask of a male vice presidential candidate. The real questions that will help us decide who is ready and qualified to be president.
When we go for a job interview, we are interviewed base of the job we are seeking.
The American people are too driven by their emotions that's why the country is is a mess. When we start making decisions by analizing what the consequencesof our choices will be then we will have a strong, secure country for ourselves and our children. The people of this country have are partly to be blamed for the last eight years. The majority of the people voted for a president they wanted to ahve a beer with. Well I hope the experience was great!!!!!!! Did you enjoy the beer?
STOP!!! ask yourself what type of country do I want to see for the next 8 years, A devisive, negative, with no infrastruture,no money, no health care, our neighbourhoods in a slum beacause of foreclosure,Crime. Sounds interesting!!!!!! Who can bring the change we need!! The person who recognized a long time ago that we neeed change!! Or the person who just copied from the oponents script and say Hey sounds like a good idea. The person who has a real plan for change or the person who says maybe we can do the same thing we have done for the last 8 years and still get change. The person who realize that if we really want change we will have to change our habits or the person who believe that the American people are very emotional, if we have good personality and lots of excitement maybe we can trick them once again because they really won't know the difference. they would rather be out shopping or watching a soap opera anyway. Americans be wise this time your future, your children's future, your grandchildren's future depend on it.

I received an email from McCain today asking for money (good thing he is getting that public funding) Anyway, in the mailer it notes that Factcheck.org has called Obama's attckas on Sarah Palin "misleading". I then went to factcheck.org and the first article is about how McCain took Factcheck's story out of context and attributed internet rumors and remarks to the Obama campaign. They went on to say that they have no evidence to show that any of the comments they were reporting on had any link to the Obama campaign. Here is the link. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/mccain-palin_distorts_our_finding.html

and here is the ext of the email: Friends,
You've surely seen the shameful attacks Senator Obama and his liberal allies have launched against our vice presidential nominee, Governor Sarah Palin.

Even before our national convention, the Obama campaign dispatched what The Wall Street Journal called a "mini-army of 30 lawyers, investigators and opposition researchers" to Alaska to dig up dirt for their personal attacks on Governor Palin and her family. FactCheck.org has called the attacks on Governor Palin, "completely false" and "misleading." However, the Obama Democrats continue to launch these attacks, hoping you'll never find out the truth.

I have watched this election with great interest and I have never seen the media so biased in favor of one candidate over the other in the 63 years I have lived. Campbell Brown's no bias no bull is the best example I can give. She has got to be the most biased I have ever heard, and I have never seen or encountered any one so rude in my entire life. When you have guests on a news show like that the interviewer's opinion should not be evident in the questioning. Campbell Brown not only lets her opinion show she ARGUES with, and INTERUPTS her guest in a LITERAL SHOUTING MATCH to make clear that she does not agree or like what the guest is saying. In this particular case you can tell beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is for Obama. Although, she has the right to be for whomever she chooses in this election and when she goes to the polls She should keep her opinions out of her interviews. I think CNN should take a lesson from NBC and banish her to an area where she is not covering the political news. She does not have the qualification to do the job and do it fairly and without showing her biased opinions. I refuse to watch your channel any longer as long as she is on. Rude, unqualified for the job, and asks really stupid questions.

Find out and report on Obama's role as a community organizer:

Go to : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saul_Alinsky

Saul Alinsky's "Rule for Radicals" was written for Community Organizers of which Obama was one that studied his confrontational methods. The book was dedicated to Lucifer ..." the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer."

Do we want a radical as President? I think not!

I am not a conspiracy theory person at all, but something hit me. The press made a field day out of "lipstick on a pig". Hardball went in deep and found the Mc Cain camp may have run the negative Obama ad without his consent.

Could there be a larger force pulling the strings for this republican ticket? I thought a candidate approved all ads.

Anyone want to take a crack at Mr Mystery Guest? It is said that Bush is a puppet. I would like to see a reporter dig to see who is making Mc Cains camp's decisions. e.g. Him, a rouge inside element or someone larger in the republican party.

I can't wait to hear what happens!

I enjoy the show. We all can learn while learning to agree to disagree. The comment on tonights show referring to Fast Food workers "come on" What a slap in the face to every american. We are all americans not just two types. Just because someone has to accomadate to catering to people by saying would you like fries with that does not make you one kind of american. There is one kind of american not two. Yes most americans in the position of a crappy jobs have landed themselves there in the land of opportunity but they are working they are trying and they are dealing with crap your crap and I hope your order continues to be wrong. Checks and balances check your oreder and check out there is one kind of american one not two. Those people work hard and they don't need your to stero type. That s it keep on being a thinker I enjoy the show.

mb58: Palin can do more as PRESIDENT (she should be President) than stay at home not able to do nothing to help her child. The child is the way it is going to be regardless of the presence of mom. I wonder what you would do

Your futile deflection will not work. I could almost become a Republican again because of this woman and other woman could take notice of her commitment as a mom to five children.

McCain was a bad pilot from the get go and only got his wings and academy because of his dad and granddad being Admirals.

I cannot say anything good for the DEMO he is against anything I fought for. With mentors like his racist and anti-American teacher REV WRONG, Biden, Ted Kennedy, Menendez, Pelosi, Feinstein, dear God help us.

KARAOKE: Your question is vile statement.
I am glad to see you admit to being a crazed bleeding heart liberal. It is obvious without the dramatics.

I can easily agree on Bush. He is from New Heaven, Connecticut and living in my state of Texas. He really thinks he is a Texan and gets really mad if you don't agree, the people of New Heaven are embarrassed too. His dad used money obtained from his dad Prescott Bush and Herbert Walker financing the Hitler war machine from their bank that was in New York during WWII both of them. One was closed by Congress due to their lawlessness and they opened the 2nd one down the street. GHW Bush came to Texas and invested that money into oil and lives a comfortable life in Houston. Baby Bush tried his hand in oil and failed flat on his face and has lived off daddy and the voters since. His mommies daddy worked all the way to the top of a magazine and she may have used some of that money to help.

You are not a Christian in the least intent of the word and that makes you a liar and a disbeliever. Without thumping the BIBLE, which makes all sinners snarl, I will only repeat that it tells of the fruit of the Spirit and the narrow walk it requires. If you know about any of this you should know the Bible is the absolute guide for a Christian. You can not pick and choose which words or verses you want, it is all or nothing. Not all can have insight, revelations, only a few are blessed in the Fruits of the Spirit. Most of all, the entire path is narrow and only a remnant of the remnant will make it without falling off. By the way you speak, you fell hard. So enjoy your hot headed misguided life the best you can because it is the best it is going to be for you. To answer your next response: Judgment is required here to help a brother back on track and not judgment to Heaven or Hell though it can be.

Religion is anything you follow with conscious intent. (Per secular dictionary) So you have a religion wither you like it or not. Your fruits are showing as well and they all stink and appear to be ROTTEN lying there on the baron ground.

IT'S NOT SEXISM IT IS POLITICS. A COUPLE OF THINGS: I AM AWARE THAT SARA PALIN IS THE CANIDATE FOR VP, BUT LETS BE REAL. JOHN MCCAIN IS OLD.
THE REPUBLICANS HAVE PUT A BIG FENCE AROUND HER. DON'T TOUCH SARA, SHE IS TOO PRETTY, SHE MIGHT CRY, SHE IS JUST A HOCKEY MOM. SHE IS THE ONE THAT SAID SHE IS A PIT BULL. LETS SEE IF SHE CAN WEATHER THE STORM LIKE HILLARY DID AND DOES. THE VP DEBATE BETER BE DOWN RIGHT NASTY(I MEAN THE QUESTIONS) REMEMBER SHE IS NEXT IN LINE FOR THE PRESIDENCY.
ALSO, SOMETHING STUPID, BUT DOES SARA PALIN REALLY NEED THOSE GLASSES OR ARE THEY A PROP? SHE IS BORN AGAIN? DOES SHE BELIEVE IN SPEAKING IN TONGUES OR WAS THAT BEFORE SHE SWITCHED CHURCHES? RELIGION WAS AN ISSUE FOR MITT ROMNEY AND OBAMA. CAN'T ASK FRAGIL LITTLE PRETTY SARA?
I KNOW...MCCAIN IS RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENT AND THE REPUBLICANS ARE DANGLING THE BAIT(AS IN SARA PALIN)
A LITTLE INFORMATION AT A TIME TO KEEP US INTERESTED.
AND AS FOR OBAMA NOT BEING SPECIFIC ON THE ECONOMY.
WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE JUST AS HIM ABOUT HIS PLANS.

THE CAMPAIGN SHOWS PALIN IN THE LEAD OVER MCCAIN, BUT WHERE DOES MCCAIN STAND? HE SEEMS TO BE HER FOLLOWER

This rookie will take women back 40 years and drive this country further in the ground if she had to replace McCain. Meanwhile McCain has been following behind this woman's skirt-tail like a wimpering dog. Why has he (follower) allowed her (leader) to run the show. That says a lot about him... he is weak as a man and leader. He has sold his soul and is not putting country first.

I think the media did a great service to the american people to force the truth out of he republicans false claim that Obama is sexist by those trying to create an illusion about Obama, a man of integrity. Most intelligent people recognize the republican tactics at war.

She was able to get away with calling hockey moms pitbulls which I found to be an insult. Her popularity is really the curiousity about her soap opera life style, not her qualifications.

BOGUS ABSENTEE BALLOTS BEING SENT OUT BY MCCAIN CAMPAIGN TO REGISTERED DEMOCRATS DOCUMENTED IN SWING STATES
Here's a good new story that Americans don't know about that you should devote a segment to. It would be an excellent public service on your part to voters in these states as it's now being reported with lots of people on the ground having first hand experiences. Any of these people would make a great ireport subject.

From the Daily Kos today:

Misleading absentee ballot forms being sent by McCain campaign

By GottaLaff

Just listening to the substitute host, Lee Rayburn, on the Thom Hartmann show:

"Misleading" absentee ballot applications are being mailed out by the McCain campaign to registered Democratic voters in purple states. The return addresses are inaccurate, as well as other information. "Misleading, lying" mailers are going out in Florida and other purple states. It's a caging tactic.

Calls are coming in verifying that this is happening in small towns, as well as larger ones.

The host is trying to determine the scale of this subversion of our democracy.

Here we go again.

UPDATE: It's happening in Pennsylvania, too. The ballots have included multiple ballots, sender address is a new address while return address is from old city clerk's office… The I'm trying to type this as he says it, and it may not be clear, since I miss some. I apologize for that.

Fraud. Election fraud. Hopefully the local authorities can help, or the local Obama offices. Calling the media could help, too.

A caller: Robocalls asking if you're interested in an absentee ballot. Or, notifying the voter that the ballot will be mailed back postage paid to the National Republican Committee.

Another caller from Detroit. Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida: That's where the absentee ballots are being sent to Obama voters. Add Missouri to that, per one of our commenters.

You can be sure McCain isn't doing this because he wants every vote counted.

UPDATE: A North Carolina caller got THREE of them. In the phone book there's a street address, but on the form, it's a P.O. Box, per the caller.

California caller from registrar's office: McCain should take the application for absentee and submit within 3 days. But the applications will most likely be held for the 3 days and "die". They'll most likely submit the Republican ones, and throw away the Democratic ones.

The return address for the request card goes to the wrong city clerk office address, per Rayburn.

Michigan caller: Wrong home address, and then, wrong city clerk address on the one he got. He donated to Obama, but not a Democrat, so he wonders if that's how they found him.

Hey media? There's a real story here.

THIS WHOLE CAMPAIGN IS BECOMING VERY SCARY TO ME. WHY SO MUCH HATRED? WHY SO MUCH PETTY NAME CALLING AND LOW-BLOWS. WE AMERICAN WOMEN ARE NOT STUPID! WE KNOW EXACTLY WHY PALIN WAS THROWN INTO THIS MESS. I PERSONALLY AM VERY AFRAID OF THE OUTCOME IF EITHER PARTY WINS. MAYBE WE ALL NEED TO STAY HOME AND NOT VOTE AT ALL IN NOVEMBER MAYBE THIS MESS WILL JUST DIE DOWN. ALL OF THIS HYPE IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT. I AM SO SICK OF IT. I CANNOT EVER REMEMBER A CAMPAIGN IN MY LIFETIME AS EMBARRASSING AS THIS ONE. I AM REALLY ASHAMED TO BE AN AMERICAN. IT IS A SHAME THAT THE ONLY TIME AMERICANS ARE ABLE TO UNITE IS WHEN DESTRUCTION HAPPENS. OTHER COUNTRIES ARE LAUGHING AT US.

Before I begin, I must say that I am an Obama supporter. If that is not allowed on this site, feel free to ignore the rest. However, before choosing to ignore the following content, please know that my words below are not one of "who is better" but is more of my concern about all of us as a Nation being faced with Ms. Pailin as a Vice President to ALL OF THE UNITED STATES.

I am a Gold Star Mother. For those of you who are not sure what this is, it means that I am a Mother who has lost her child in War. My "Star" was once a Blue Star and I proudly packed packages for my son's "life in the sand". I was so proud of him and his mission...."Our Country's Mission". Four years after my son, my only child's, death, I am still very sad at his departure from my life and his life on Earth. In fact, I awoke again this morning sobbing after having another dream with him wherein I talked with him about things that have happened since his death. It is an awful path to endure.

But, on with the point of my message here. First, I'm going to paste below what I recently wrote to a friend, after John McCain introduced Sarah Pailin as his VP and then she ultimately gave her speech, accepting his nomination:

******************************
"...although I am an Obama supporter, I stand by McCain's patriotism. That is his strongest suit in his race. I am always moved at hearing even parts of his story. But, in all honesty, I never seem to hear how they are going to do anything to change what the last eight years of a Republican-run White House has done for us. I never seem to hear anything more than how good of a man John is....something I even admit. He and Cindy are really very good people. Yes, I admit it, I like them. But I just cannot vote for him. I keep recalling what he said months ago, "If it takes 100 years, we'll stay in Iraq".....I have now watched Sarah Palin give her speech. Personally, I think she is feisty and smart...a WHIP! I also think she will definitely energize and wake up John McCain, but I listened to both her and Cindy McCain talk about how they admire their boys (Pailin's son is leaving soon for Iraq) and Cindy kept the phone with her every moment, not wanting to miss her son's call. I sighed and remembered those personal experiences myself with my son. But as much as I was a "cheerleader" for my son's service, I have become equally pained at what is happening....after eight years. I simply cannot vote for more. I would like to meet with both of those women if either of them lost their son in Iraq. I guarantee, they would not want anyone to endure the pain this creates in your heart....it is deeply profound. I also very much believe that Pailin's son will never see the front lines in Iraq!). I would place a bet on that! She WILL see her son return....Her blue star pin on her lapel (she was wearing it when she gave a speech) will never be GOLD.
************************************

I tend to watch how people act rather than their words. I guess it is all a part of my intuitive nature. Yesterday, I watched the crowd roar for Sarah Pailin and shout, "Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah,".....I noticed Cindy McCain and even John McCain give a little sigh. It would appear that "Sarah" seems to be in charge. John McCain even gave extra introductions to his wife....almost trying to qwell Cindy's possible antagonistic feeling about the whole thing. And, as for John, I feel he feels the same. My thoughts are those that include Sarah will use John McCain to further her own political aspirations. I don't believe in Sarah. She is smart, but she will "rule" John as much as "he" will allow. My curiousity lies in how John will "handle" Sarah. And, of course, John is 72 and healthy, but what is "Sarah" does become our VP? I'm really not pleased with those thoughts at all!

In closing, I will say this much about the news regarding Sarah. Personally, I believe she did try to have her sister's ex-husband fired from his job. This woman is ruthless. That wouldn't be so bad if she were doing this for all of us, but I just don't believe that is who she is fighting for....I'll bet she carries a big mirror in her purse! How many times do we have to hear about the jet she "sold" on E-Bay? Sarah forgot to mention that it ultimately did not sell on E-Bay and, in fact, it took a huge loss! Does she think we are all stupid and 'not paying attention'? And what about that "bridge to nowhere"? It reminded me of Kerry's political blunder in his campaign wherein he mentioned voting for the troops....but forgot to mention it was "after voting against the troops"! She has said in every speech how she has voted against the "bridge to nowhere"...but forgets to mention it was "after" she voted for it! I just don't like Sarah, as a politician, or for that matter as a woman! I am very, very concerned about her becoming OUR Vice President!

Why did Judy Woodruff prompt Obama by telling him how John McCain had answered a question about 9/11. Is this fair? I think Obama was finished with his answer, apparently Judy Woodruff thought it would be a good idea for Obama to elaborate. How fair is this? I am getting tired of CNN which I have watched every day for the last couple of years. My viewing habits might change.

IT would shock me if CNN reported on the United States weakness in the extreme numeral mass advancement in atomic studies.THIS is an non-issue in election 2008, yet
atomic communications is the modern day SPUTNIK.

Why did Sarah Palin quote anti-Semite Westbrook Pegler in her RNC speech? Why doesn't CNN ask her?

Why are reporters so hell-bent on S. Palin's daughter's personal life, when it was okay for "no morals" Bill Clinton, to have affairs before and during the presidency? It was accepted by Americans for Bill's escapades and for Hillary to stand by him...and was not viewed to be a big issue. Well, this is a family matter. Kids make mistakes, no matter what parents want for them and what they try to each them. Plus, the daughter is not running for public office. We don't know WHAT Obahma's kids will do...they're still too young....besides children of elitists have a very high tendency for major rebellion and screwing-up.

One more thing....why haven't we been attacked again since 9/11? Terrorists know when there is weakness in the Whitehouse. Bush is an outgoing President and has no compunction to fight back harder and stronger. They are waiting for someone weak to be in the Whitehouse. Someone who would like to "talk things over". The last time that happened was when Carter was in the whitehouse, during the hostage crisis. If you remember, as soon as Reagan came into the picture, those hostages were released. John McCain and Sarah Palin are tough....McCain knows war and Palin's son will be there soon. She will know first hand how parents in America feel. They will have no time to "chat" to the enemies. They will take care of business.

Face it Democrats, you blew it and elected an elitist with absolutely no experience or a strong enough personality to provide retaliation. Hilary was not well-liked personally, but she is tough, understands world and domestic affairs. The only __it she puts up with is Bill's, for career purposes.

So you really want another Jimmy, Roslyn, Billy and Lillian Carter in the Whitehouse with an elementary school kid reading at a dignitary dinner table?....talk about family background...!!!!

The world will really be laughing!!

Lets stop wasting our time talking about Palin and please show Obama and Mc Cain on issues concerning our daily lives. I am sickened by all this nonsense. I havent seen nor heard about anything but this woman since she spoke at the convention. What is this? Do I have to go underground to get straight news? Where is the real news?

Talk about taxation without representation...........my grandkids' grandkids will still be paying for this fiasco.

If we are going to start nationalizing businesses and billing the taxpayers.....then the first on the list should be the oil industry and not the banks

AC et al: Why don't you ask the PEOPLE what to do to ease the mortgage and general economic disaster!!??
My suggestion: Give home owners a two month moratorium on mortgage payments! Most people just need a brief relief to get back on their feet. The cost, while it would be a couple of months of interest per loan, it would be cheaper than a giant plan by the Govt to try to solve it. The Fed/Govt/Congress Plan will only help the Corps at the top! (and at the taxpayers expense!)

usnavi181, Why did you even go to factcheck.org if you wasn't going to believe what it said. This is not a popularity contest, or a contest of whether we should pick the White over Black or vice/versa. hard times have fallen on everybody due to the economy, and its only going to get worse. A critical decision must be made about who will be our next Commander In Chief, and some of us are taking it very seriously, some of us are still undecided. I do not want the next four years to be like the past eight. The Republican Party launch just as many attacks as the Democratic Party. I personally am very tired of the grade school bickering, false accusations, and dirty tactics. Lets get to the point, What is going to be done for the people on the verge of losing /lost their homes, What about Healthcare, Education etc...these are my concerns. like my Grandmother used to say, if you are going to tell something, tell the WHOLE truth or DON'T TELL NOTHING AT ALL. MOMGONENUTZ STOP SPREADING YOUR NEGATIVITY NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR IT, HAVEN'T WE HEARD ENOUGH
