The decision made by the House of Representatives to vote against
the bail out of wall street are align with the desires of the
people. It is wrong for the Senate to amend the bail out bill; then
vote on the bill to try and pressure the House to vote in favor of
a bill that has already been voted down by the House of
Representatives. It is wrong for the House of Representatives to
defer or give in too the desire of the Senate. The decision of
raising revenue is vested in the House of Representatives. The
American people await your decision; for it is your decision that
is reflective of the voice of the people.

But I loved when Biden called her on this MAVRICK slogan. Who cares about this name Mavrick I can see Mccain and Palin wearing cowboy suits and hats. I cannot believe when I hear Pudits say Palin has saved the day.Listen how long can this gimick go. Saved the Ticket???NOOOOOOO

I am so confused by Palin. Now someone help me. She does not
support Gay Marriage, she does not support abortions but she does
support teenage sex. Someone help me understand the good "American
Family Values" in that. I really want the american people to take
the proper steps in voting.

Great Debate!
Gov. Palin was spectacular! She is real, true, and is just what Washington needs, a sharp spur in Washington side and this women can do it. She is just what our America needs not a hand out, but a cleaning out. She has it all, and has my vote now. This is what change is all about not the same old politics, Finally a breath of fresh air, not a wolf in sheeps clothing wake up america, see the truth, see someone who is real for a change. : I just need to know one thing how, who, why do people feel that
Palin WON that debate. She never fully answered one question. If
so, what debate was everyone watching if she did. The best thing
that i did like is Biden stated something about small business
owner that im glad he did. As a small business owner myself I have
suffered to the point were within this week I filed bankruptcy. My
business never reached $250,000 if so I wouldnt be were im at today
so for Palin to say that the tax increase will hurt small business
please provide me with one company thats making over $250,000 and
is suffering to pay there bills, get upgrade, pay for gas. Give me
one name, Palin

As she puts it "The Palin/McCain Ticket"…. They are not
Mavericks, they are Radicals…. You have one that is a
"Warmonger" & the other that is "Legally Brunet"…. We as
Americans "Don't need this at this time in our lives." McCain feels
that when he makes a mistake that it can always be cleaned up &
it's the maverick in him.. Not true, everything can't be cleaned up
& it's the "Radical".... I'm voting Obama/Biden… THANK
YOU….. 'B)

I just watched the debates. You have got to be kidding me. Pat
Buchanan thinks she was "spectacular."???? This woman is scary
stuff and would be a danger to our country, seriously, folks. He
made a comment that he was sitting with Democratic women who were
relieved that she "held her own." Is he/they crazy? She was reading
from cue cards, or something. She was not answering the questions.
Oh my gosh, I just can't believe this. This whole thing, except for
Joe Biden, should be on Candid Camera.

I didn't think Gov. Palin really answered questions in the
beginning of the debate. She gave soundbites I've heard from her
before and tried to booster the McCain/Palin Ticket by making
general statements (like that they are for Reform). However, there
was a lack of substance/details overall from Gov. Palin in my
opinion.
Also, though Gov. Palin stressed energy independence, so have the Democratic party's Ticket. I feel that Obama/Biden have long pushed for alternative energy before even McCain/Palin have, and besides this area, I'm not sure where else Palin seemed stronger in. Moving the focus away from Gov. Palin, I thought Senator Joe Biden did very well overall in the debate. There was some parts of the debate on his end where I felt a little lost. Not because Senator Biden wasn't clear on his stances or his understanding of policy, but that the language he used is just not everyday talk used among the American people. I have a college education and have followed politics for awhile now, but even I had to struggle through Senator Biden's responses at times. One area of the debate that made me cry was when Senator Biden stated his past of being a single parent, with injured children. Only because I know of his background... and some of what's happened in his life. Gov. Palin's background is still relatively unknown to most Americans. My family often talks about Gov. Palin and what little is known of her record and stances. The little we have seen/known pre-debate seemed to be more aligned with Obama's. However, things like "Troopergate" show how much of a politician Gov. Palin is... even though she tries to portray herself as an outsider. She's surrounded by key people from the Bush Administration. She has said one thing (ie supporting transparcency, hold me responsible), but now she is doing another (ie fighting that investigation from continuing). That's just hippocritical and something I expect from politicians that most Americans dislike/disapprove of... With examples like these among what's little is known of her, I find it hard to support her as a politician or as a VP. I like McCain, but I have to say, I really question Sarah Palin as his VP. More than that, I question her as a politician, if she's someone I want to represent me/my family/people.

I am disappointed with the way the media has given Sarah Palin a
pass to be incompetent. She did a disastrous job during the debate,
the press lowered the expectations for her due to her proven
ignorance of the facts and now you all have allowed her to get away
with this substandard performance. What kind of example are we
setting for Americans and our children? I'll tell you the example
is that you don't have to be intelligent to get ahead in this
world. She never once answered the question at hand and you all
refuse to point this out. What's the deal?

I watched the debate last night, Palin was above expectation, but
she was too rehearsed, and evasive. You can relate to the people,
using I all the time, it was all about "her", the winking was
extremely annoying. Maybe another profession for her such as
Saturday Nite Live ! Politically she doesn't have it, and from the
Rally that I saw in Alaska, she is not their favorite anymore
either. Seems like her time of fame is over...

I am so beyond crazy with this debate...America wake up, what is
wrong. Were we all watching the same debate or am I in the Twilight
Zone. Palin is a joke. No one respects Palin. No one trusts Palin.
Palin made a Mockery of the American people. Do you think we are
that stupid that a wink is going to get us? Or a Joe Six Pack
comment or everyone's favorite, Soccer Mom. Palin I don't care
about your lets keep it wholesome on stage act when your life is
filled with sin. Your Teenage non married daughter is pregnant and
you cannot control you house but you want to control mine. LOL, is
all I can say to PALIN.

Before the debate, I had some sympathy for Palin. I was certain
that she was - and is - aware of how intellectually she is in over
her head. But after watching the debate, that sympathy melted away,
and was replaced by unbridled contempt for someone so indifferent
to how the nation would be at risk with her at the helm. How DARE
she presume to be competent enough to be President!

It is, of course, no great revelation that the freedoms we enjoy as
Americans are largely predicated on the freedoms we enjoy to pursue
our economic destinies, as any devotee of Adam Smith or Ayn Rand
will tell you. Freedom and economic freedom are really one thing -
two sides of the same coin, as it were. While unfettered capitalism
did not prove to be the perfect answer, all efforts at restraining
it in the US were modest until the advent of the New Deal, whose
architects knew that they were actively subverting many of the
tenets of the founders of this nation. Since then, as pointed out
in the article below, the Government has chosen to intervene in
national economic affairs, first during the Great Depression, then
in the Chrysler bailout, then in the wake of the S&L crisis in
the late 80's, and finally now, in the great mortgage securities
"meltdown." But ask yourself, how effective have those
interventions been? The received wisdom is that only WW II truly
ended the depression, and then only here, as the rest of the world
lay in ruins. It wasn't hard for American companies to make a
profit after that - there was no competition, anywhere. So whether
FDR's policies really helped end the depression, or whether they
simply created the illusion that the Government was doing
something, is certainly debatable. And as for the Chrysler bailout,
what has been the effect of that? Chrysler still exists today,
losing vast amounts of money, selling substandard cars, and
apparently headed for another bailout, this time along with their
bretheren at Ford and GM. If the Government had held firm in the
80's and refused to give Chrysler a dime, they either would have
figured a way out of their own mess, or would have gone the way of
the dodo. Or the Edsel. As to the Government intervention in the
S&L crisis, the downside of that is not addressed - namely that
over a third of a trillion dollars was added to the national debt
(although some was recovered.) This is something we can ill afford,
although that can is continually kicked down the road, as our
national debt approaches ridiculous proportions. And finally, why
our sudden fear of a recession? For all the breathless "reporting"
done in the mass media, there is no recession. When McCain said a
few weeks ago that the fundamentals of the US economy are sound, he
was right. But it is politically impossible to say such a thing
now, when everyone who listens to CNN simply knows that we are in a
recession! Or almost in a recession! And we all know what that
means!!! Or do we??? Actually, the last time we really were in a
recesion, in the early 90's, it passed almost without notice. Do
you remember it? Did it affect you in any way? Did it affect
anyone? Can you point to a single bad thing that happened as a
result of that recession? Unemployment now is at about its fifty
year average. Interest rates are still at historic lows. Access to
credit still remains high, although it is tightening. In
internationally conducted surveys of global economic strength, the
US has ranked # 1 for the last three years, and is in the top three
of nearly every category except one: we have very high taxes on
business income. (And if you listen to our Democratic candidate for
President, this is precisely the thing he wants to
increase…..) And on a final note, where is the "blame" for
this mess we're in? Do you ever hear anyone anywhere say that the
root cause of this "crisis" is that people signed mortgages that
they couldn't afford? That people routinely lived beyond their
means? That defaulting on a mortgage, which once would have been a
source of hideous shame to people is now simply one option among
many, unfreighted by any social taboo? Just as economic freedom is
required for political freedom, personal responsibility is required
for social economic security. When we became a nation of welchers,
we became a nation of the poor.

I'm an independent and I think Palin did a horrible job. She would
not answer questions and used sarcasm to cover up her lack of
knowledge and intelligence. BIDEN won all the way. He was
articulate, professional, and knowledgeable. Anyone who thinks
Palin won did not see the same debate. If being cute, annoying,
using slang, and being sarcastic is winning; then Plain (an
embarrassment to republicans) won!!

I think Sarah Palin horribly failed attempting to be folksy. It
came across as fake and uninteresting. No doubt, she did better
than everyone thought she would, but when the expectations were as
low as they were, it was fairly easy for her to script her way
through to portaying herself as a little better candidate. I
thought the debate didn't change anything including my previous
view of her. I still feel the same.

Debate aside... While watching the two V.P. candidates, my thoughts
went to the following scenario. The dark possibility that there
could be another terrorist attack on our land and IF the President
is either incapacitated, killed or out of country at the time, who
do I want in the White House and taking complete charge in that
kind of high emergency crisis. The answer is clear to me. Joe Biden
could take control with complete ability to make the near
impossible decisions. I think Sarah Palin would just freak-out.

Debating 101
Sarah Palin's handlers employed an old and familiar debating technique: 1. If you are clueless about a question, answer a different question. Better to be guilty of being nonresponsive than clueless. The problem for anyone employing that technique is that if they are pressed to respond to the actual question by way of followup, then they are forced to either admit that they don't know or (worse) try to answer the question that they were clueless about. Palin took the latter route in her interview with Katie Couric as well as in her response to Charlie Gibson's "Bush Doctrine question. Palin was not pressed to respond to any of the questions or topics she avoided during last night's vice-presidential debate, thus leaving some with the impression that this was the "real Sarah Palin" and that her responses to Couric were an aberration. Yes, it was the real Sarah Palin, but it was also the "same" Sarah Palin who Katie Couric interviewed. Her base is now breathing a sigh of relief because their candidate was able to string together complete sentences without any major gaffes. But had the format allowed for a direct exchange between the candidates or had Gwen Ifil asked her followup questions requiring her to respond to the questions she avoided, we would have witnessed more "deer in headlights" moments.

Biden the clear winner; Palin clearly programmed again. We are a
country in crisis, and even if we weren't, just one working brain
cell should tell anyone we CANNOT put
Palin a breath away from old, iffy McCain. She cannot even govern Alaska, and volumes could be written about her many mis-steps and "governing" style. She is under investigation, which could result in impeachment. Several huge anti-Palin rallies recently in Anchorage. Republican party operatives are here intimidating people, trying to stop investigation, smearing anyone to disagree with them. Politics at its worst! Enough! and enough of extreme Right Winger Palin, who is not smart enough to know she has been insulted, as have the American people with this selection. LouLouAK (33 year resident)

Palin is the biggest double standard liar I have ever heard. She is
completely heartless. I was appaled by her behavior during the
debate.
1. She thinks that a woman shouldn't have a right to choose in other words it's suppossed to be okay for a woman who has been rapped or molested to carry a child and have to relive the pain day in and day out. Yet she says that she is all for a womens rights. WHich is it? Saying a woman doesn't have the right to choose doesn't stand for a womans rights. Maybe if she had to be put in that situation she may look at it diffrently. 2. The fact that she showed no compassion towards Joe Biden when he shared something painful and close to his heart she just kept going with her stupid que cards. That made me sick. 3. Apparentely Palin has been financially secure all her life and doesn't know what it's like to live pay check to pay check and to be in the low to middle class if she had ever lost her home or had to live pay check to pay check then maybe she wouldn't have referred to main street as TOXIC. I didn't realize I was TOXIC. I thought it was wall street that was Toxic since they are the one who are always benifiting no matter what is going on in the Country. 4. I feel that Palin is a very sel serving witch. She needs to go back to Alaska and maybe look after her family. If she was paying attention to her family then maybe her daughter wouldn't be pregnant and her soon wouldn't have been look at criminal charges. What was Mcain thinking. She didn't answer any questions when asked she jumped all over the place and she only went off her que cards. She wouldn't make a good vp and I have a very hard time believing she is a good govenor. She flops around and has know idea of what she is talking about. Lies, lies lies. and all with a smile. how sickening. It saddens me to see a woman out there trying to run for vp that doesn't know what she is talking about. I also feel she is doing a diservice to all of us woman. SHe needs to back out. She is only doing all this for her 5 min of fame and that is it. Then there is this poor downsyndrome child who is being exposed and used I would call that abuse. Lots of poeple have children that have special needs but they are not exploting them. THen again is the child really hers? The daughter treats the infant more like he is hers than Palin does, besides who hides their pregnancy for 7 mo unless their a. going to give the child away or b. the child really isn't theirs and it was a fake pregnacy. Mcain thinks Palin did good during the debate hugh! Then she likes to point fingers at all those around her. Lady own up to the fact that a 5th grade can do better than you. She isn't as cute as she thinks she is. She is really dumb. She doesn't even have the nerve to go on any talk shows... I would say chicken... shes not cut up. greelygrl

a Clean governor? She hire Ted Stevens to Washington hired 4
lobbies to get $987 million dollars ... I think she is the BIGGEST
GOLD DIGGER in United State.

Can someone tell me just how oldman Mc Cain picked Sarah for his VP
after just meeting her once? Was this a ONE NIGHT stand with Sarah
that created that down syndrome baby that's so dear to her heart?
Poor Cindy with ALL her money that he has capitalized on! He must
be ready to move on like he did whith Mrs Carol McCain whom he
dumped in her state of illness after he got back as a POW/MIA. Ran
around with Cindy and all her money.Got all he wanted! Fishing in
Alaska now and found Palin, a younger thing! That's probably why she
did not tell her husband Todd early on about her down syndrome
baby!
Now she upholds her teen daughter pregnancy with her pro-life bull?Prancing her and her red-neck boyfriend all over TV! How dare her attack Barack Obama! who don't know where Barack comes from and who the real Barack is, is cause they don't want to know! Both her and Mc Cain need to be sure they keep their skeletons in their closets but it will surely all come out soon enough!

Is Cindy McCain really on drugh as the tabloids are reporting?
Wouldn't be surprised huh? Oldman McCain and Sarah Palin on the
trail now! No time for Cindy even with all her money, can't make
her happy! Trouble in paradise?
Everyone talked about Bill Clinton but he was a great president! Just got caught getting some! He ain't the only one! they all practice infidelity! They all just don't get caught like bill! That should not have stopped him from doing his job! Hillary didn't condem him!Goes all the way back to Biblical days!David and Bathsheba? Yet David was a man after God's own heart! No body talks about poor Carol Mc Cain in her condition and the children she had with Gumbee! She's not flashy enough for him anymore! I think Mc Cain is just an opportunist and a user and claims to have respect for women? At least Barack came up from what may have been considered failure as a young man of mixed race and made his journey a worth while cause! What can McCain say for himself? Mavarick my tail!

Wonder who is gonna be taking care of her down syndrome baby and
her teen daughter's baby? Poor Todd! No more moosing and fishing!
He'll be a stay home mom to those kids I suppose! Don't see him
getting to WhiteHouse lifestyle. Unless Sarah will be getting some
more air mark monies to use to get her back and forth to Alaska to
see about them! More of our tax payers money!
Oh my gosh! what is Alaska going to do without good old Sarah?

HI GYPSY61, did you see the link in my previous email? Every body
knows that she is a WITCH HUNTER; POWER ABUSER ( she will go back
to Alaska at 7Th this week to court, she thought Mcc can protect
her from the law ); HUNGRY OF POWER; AMBUSOUS; TERRIBLE TERRIBLE
mother; CHEATER; LIER.
But, you may not know she had a history to betray her MASTERS. I can see Mcc will suffer big pain by this WITCH HUNTER woman since she had a history to betray her MASTERS. She betrayed her former Mayor who she met at the gym who invites her to work for him. After 1 year , she kicked him out of the Mayor's office. 2 years later, she meets the Governor and he ask her to work for him at the Oil&Energy department, 1 year later, she kicked him out of that office. but, I just wonder, why the Governor hug her and said 'are you happy? are you ok? we will do everything to get you elected' ---------this segment in her Bio Review from CNN, FOX and MSNBC.

HI GYPSY61,
You got the good point! Yes, I can tell Cindy is look down at Palin and she don't want her to get elected so that she don't need to looking for her husband if they all live in The White House at night. Did you guys saw Cindy broken her arm ? fight with her husband? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#26626964, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#26626964, I guess Cindy don't want her get elected too: HUGS VS. HANDSHAKES... MSNBC New York Times Elizabeth Bumiller talks about the body language and running mates. Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferarro were more formal then, as opposed to how John McCain and Sarah Palin are more likely dating. .... Actually Sen. Ted Stevens ( r- AK) helps her to hire 4 lobbyist to get &976 million dollars for Alaska. He is the person helps her a lot. My God, what is the next? She is the biggest GOLD DIGGER in United State.

We can't allow racist bigots to govern our country. It's crucial
that Gov. Palin gets nowhere near the white house.
The Color of Yet To Come by Carol Parker I'm the color of loving my brother, The color of coffee and cream. I'm the color of toleration, The color of liberty's dream. I'm the color of sympathy, heartfelt, The color of ivory and rum. I'm the color of patience with all men, The color of yet to come. I'm the color of peace with all peoples, The color of honey and corn. I'm the color of forgive and forget, The color of yet to be born. I'm the color of freedom without fear, The color of chocolate and tea. I'm the color of kindness to others, The color of soon to be. I'm the color of harmony, blending, The color of red, white and blue. I'm the color of trusting each other, The color of long overdue. I'm the color of living together, The color of earth and sun.
