The unclaimed iReports come from users who submit iReports from cellphones. They get the same review that any other iReport gets and will be pulled if they violate our guidelines.

I have a suggestion that could use some input from your developers. The idea is to have signups for "Video Duels". An iReporter can challenge another to a video duel and then commentators can comment on the progress of the duel.

@ChrisMorrow We've found that fewer tags are better. I'd suggest broad topics that describe your iReport like "Obama" or "marriage". Also, be sure to combine multiple-word tags with an underscore like this: Chris_Morrow.

@Salsteels Robin Meade was on the lookout for pet photos about a year ago and, as you can image, we got a huge response. If you can think of a newsy angle for a pet assignment, we may consider it. (Though we'll have to brace ourselves for the onslaught of submissions we'll receive!)

david...hope u keep the unclaimed posts...i started hitting those about a month ago and have found so many hidden gems i would have never found otherwise. 

@ANAV -- The gratuitous flagging is annoying, but our moderators won't pull a story if it doesn't violate the guidelines. In some cases, if the moderator isn't sure if something should be pulled, they will hide it until they can get a second opinion.

Do you think there is any way to put about like an event section, where we see where things are happening and if it's nearby go to it and those could turn out to be great reports!

So sorry to hear that you are in Barbados and we didn't meet up - I was at the Bridgetown Hilton, and filming various parts of the island, along with visiting and filming rum distilleries - great fun, amazingly lovely, welcoming people. I didn't know you could take a Land Rover safari - it was great fun - only 3 days there, though, sadly - working on a return visit - this time for a holiday!

Having it organic in the site in realtime would be great as I I saw Punjab come out with a statement, I could click on "Challenge IReporter" This would then put our videos in a scroll that someone could go through and comment on the challenge and not the individual videos. I definielty like the idea of different vewpoijt videos- dueling. kind of like the Crossfire show - sorry idf that is not CNN.

@KCRep Sorry to hear about your loss. I think there are a lot of people that feel this way. I think the iReport community would love to see your photos if you would like to share them.

Just a thought but is it possible when someone deactivates to have an option to choose: Vacation, taking a brek, etc. People seem to get really excited or concerned when someone deactivates and don't know if taking a break, gone or banned.

Why does someone need to deactivate to take a vacation or break?

@Margot707 -- We don't really have the tools in place for that yet, we're looking at it.

I can say that I was really disappointed with a few things I saw over the weekend. There is a small group who just want to fight each other. This isn't the place for that.

I'm hoping they will just leave and move on with their lives.

More importantly, I saw some really cool things like KCRep's contests that were really awesome.

I would encourage everyone to focus on things like that.

@Katie Not to disagree but I think it is just that simple.  I don't think we have to explore puppy mills or look for hard hitting news.  I think people have pets because they want to love and care for an animal, some couples want to see if they can handle responsibility before having a child so they get a pet.  Also, some people have just lost a love one and a pet can fill can make a companion.  There are also other people that do not have the time right now and a bad economy, that they just cannot take in a pet.  It's iReport, by the people for the people, does it have to have an angle?

Can anybody guess how many National Labor Relations Board hearings will occur involving the Santa Barbara News-Press in California before justice will be served to all the reporters and editors who were fired or quit over defending their journalistic ethics? This story's been smoking from July of 2006 to the present.

davidw:  I agree this isn't the place for fights, so pleaseeeee if ireport ever does have the tools for volunteer moderators please choose those volunteers very carefully!!

my mom is hospitalized in wisconsin.  when i went to visit her a woman came in with a beautiful huge black dog related to the st. bernard family.  RIGHT INTO HER HOSPITAL ROOM!  i was too preoccupied with my mom to do any pics, but has anyone else heard of this?

@Salsteels Generally, we try not to ask for iReports just for the sake of asking. When we create an assignment, we have a plan to incorporate those iReports into CNN's news coverage. That's why we try to strive for a newsy angle.

But, if you've got a great pet trick or story that you'd like to share, then by all means you can upload it to the site. It sounds like our community would love anything pet-related!

sinth - if you are speaking of hearing what kind of dog, it was probably a Newfoundland- i ahd one when i lived on Capew cod- very sweet... and slobbery dog. We miss her.

@sintheesize  They are recovery dogs.  They help elevate a patient so they do not get depressed. Depression is very common after a heart attack.

Pet posts are always nice, but anytime attention can be brought to the cruelty, abandonment and animal rights issue, it is a good thing.

With todays economy as it is there are more and more cats and dogs abandoned to the streets.

A mixture of both posts would be a good idea.

Discussing here keeps my sanity as I spend 12 hours a day in front of PC with CNN to the side on a flatscreen. Now how sick is that.

well the people flagging are obviously getting back on the site to do just that to people..It happened to my post and after it had been under review several times it got removed..It was returned back later..a few hours later..so thanks for that. I was amazed that no rules were broken or regulations yet it must have been flagged enough times to get pulled..Doesn't anyone read the ireport before pulling it? Like hello?? very upsetting and disappointing.. but I am glad it got returned thank you..

yes david...i clicked on an unclaimed and found an adorable handicapped child who sings...bawled my head off and nobody ever claimed the post so i'm going to repost it with the link.

@Everybody I am suggesting a story about pets because we have a new addition to our family. It is a great feeling and I bet there are a lot of people that have the same experience.

Spontaneous In many cases yes. Some of us are frustrated with how long it sometimes takes to get the blatant trouble makers under control. Not all of us can sit and moderate the comments on our posts. I've come back from from work (hooray for that) to find some really nasty comments or there had been verbal battles.

@Margot707 -- There's no reason to battle with trouble makers. That's what they want. Just flag it and move on. They'll either get bored and leave or get banned.

If somebody is being a jerk on a post, it will be obvious to everyone that they're a jerk and you're not.

If you fight then everyone else thinks your both jerks.

Spon Some people want to throw the baby out with the bath water, so to speak. Sometimes, the conversation has gotten so bad, it's better to pull the entire post. I don't agree on flagging a post just because of not liking the poster or his/his opinions.

sintheeesize.......great topic, we just got our three recycling trash cans delivered this very morning, I haven't even had time to bring them to the backyard yet.  The entire city of Fullerton got them.

spontaneous people generally do contact davidw when there is a problem.. and the team address as well..When there is no response for over 2 hours and there have been 6 to 8 complaints put in..who do you email next??

For the lighter side of ireport, what about an assignment  with recipes using homegrown produce, our own or from local farmers markets.

Even recipes for home made pickles or other home canned foods, homemade fruit ice cream, sorbet, pies, cakes , casseroles etc.

David What about explanations for being banned? I've heard that some people have gotten cut off with no explanation.

@Ryn I like that idea! We've been talking about doing another food assignment where people can show off their specialties.

@Margot707 -- Some people do get banned without a warning if they do something bad enough. We usually give people multiple warnings.

Rajiim I haven't read any of your reviews, so I don't take this personally. What I don't like are those who give away the entire plot or "surprise ending" and ruin the whole thing. That's the main reason i stay away from the reviews I've seen here on iReports, too many people giving away they entire premise and therefore ruining the movie experience.

What about warnings of multiple IDs davidw, if you know...do you warn or shut them off??

David Maybe I misspoke. I meant banned without an explanation of what they did to get banned, like foul language, breaking a copyright, etc.

Well spontaneous when you have a post pulled that did not break any rules..then see how it feels to not get any explanation..especially when you typed the whole thing out and took care in doing the post in the first place..

@ Katie....There is a Social Networking / Promotions company called Zipscene here. They have a few other locations and they offer discounts to local venues and FREE Movie Passes! There is also a website called www.gofobo.com

They offer free passes as well. Some you have to get the RSVP code for movies, others you just click to get the free passes!

Both Sites are free to join! www.zipscene.com & www.gofobo.com

It seems to me that the people who get banned, would know why they got banned.  They may not admit it and say "woe is me" but they know.

Katie I usually do raise some veggies and berries. I only put out some tomatoes and peppers this year.

I am hoping to move back to Maryland by mid summer and will be able to have my huge garden back. I miss it so much.

@Margot707 -- We are looking into the possibility of having the email banned users get be more informative, but I don't have a time frame on that.

I think most people know why they were banned, and if not, we can explain.

I don't give away the movie! Not taking any offense. I may mention stuff you see in the TV ad's but nothing in any major detail that will keep you from attending the movie!

I try to make them entertaining, informative and fun to watch.....Take a look!
