davidw, that fixes.., a few things. When I looked at your source code it's clear many of your problems are steming from 3rd party applications, like your data management software, that's 3rd party. Adobe has to fix the flash issues, and there's more.

What about that stuff?

Content: the capped words "Toronto Film Festival" are linked, but clearly do not work on the page. I had to leave special instruction what to do to get around this issue. i.e. (if link doesn't work right click and select "Open in New Window”). For Windows users of course, decided to cover the majority, instad of all.

I can't see what the problem is from the source code otherwise I would tell you. Go to the page, try the link and you'll see what I mean.

The fireworks PNG image comes up, but I can't explain why...

Can we get rid of the "I get it" box altogether? I check "Don't show me this again", but it comes up every time.

Here's one that you might not have caught:

When I'm looking at my profile with.., 'view my profile as others see it'.., selected, and then click, Most Viewed, Most Commented etc.., it defaults back to the screen that ask me if I want to.., 'view my profile as others see it'.., again.

When I'm not logged in, it doesn't do that, and shows the results of those inputs.

this window box that saya 'hi are u new to this' keeps popping up every time i try to acces an ireport or something else

I now have to log in every time I want to access ireports, I never had to before.  We need the "remember my password" option so we don't have to log in all the time.

Here's a glitch I just noticed.  If you look on the iReport home page grid, you will see one of my pictures (yellow leaves).  If you click on the picture once, a new box comes up with a full version of the picture and under the picture you will see "Submitted By"  If you click on my name, it will take you to a box that says... "PAGE NOT FOUND..."   I think that happens only to mine. :oI

Jeffpickens, thank you for clarifying what the 'i get it' box is for me! I have been wracking my brain, wondering how come i didn't have this 'box'. Well, duh. Because the first time it came up i asked not to be shown it again. LOL I didn't remember that until i read your description. Thanks!

After spending all day checking in to CNN.com and iReport, it seems there are a few things to be worked out or that are not working yet. But for the most part, things are running smoothly for me. Uploaded a story with photos with no problem and pretty good speed. We'll see what happens when i attempt video. ;)

Yes, having the same problem as KC and mcoop. When i close the page it signs me out. Have to sign in everytime.

The pictures are all dark and so are the videos why is that?

davidw, does iReport intend to include the preview function for editing comments in regular iReports?

Obviously the program already exists and should be a standard function. I expect it should improve the quality of comment on any report.

Apart from other requests I shared on my post I would like to add the following one as well:

- PREVIEW, it would be better if preview

  functionality is provided while posting comments

Three of my friends have asked me if i-reports is no longer around. CNN needs to put a permanent presence on the portal page as viewable as all the 9 blocks they have for entertainment, legal, etc. The site is not beeing found. It doesn't have a presence.

The red strip at the top is not enough.

I just uploaded a story for "signs of the economic times". I did not upload the story via the main linked page, rather I uploaded it via the upload link. I selected from the drop down menu, "signs of the economic times".

Even so, my story did not appear on that main page section.

Is it true that someone would have to actually select the story link to have it placed there? Selecting it from the drop down certainly appears not to do so.

Answer? Anyone?....???

TheWarden, I uploaded the Michael Jackson video using the method you describe and had no problem with it showing up in the proper place. Altho' it's possible it doesn't appear there until it gets vetted as i noticed that the only iReports in that section, and in the one you mention, have the 'i' tag.

Is anyone monitoring this blog? If so, the 'back' button on iReport is not working for me today. Also, i am using IE8 and have the same problem reported at the blog meeting today. When i click on a photo in the collage on the iReport main page, nothing happens. The quote comes up but after that nothing. It does not link me to the story. :(

I have problem uploading videos. The video is FLV type and is about 36 MB which is well under 200 MB limit. But it keeps failing every time. Can some one please look into this or give some suggestion on how to get FLV type video onto ipreport or give the types of video files accepted here. I tried looked on for info but all they said was Video type, did not mentioned file type, Mpeg, WMV, AVI FLV etc ..

OCT 30th: Top Blue Bar: "Not from the U.S.? Click here to go to our international version  Close" does not stay closed when going from page to page. Each page clicks requires closing the link.

Also, the iRpeort pages have disabled the "Back" button on IE8 and 7. Can only go forward.

Problem with viewer discretion box: I did check 'Discretion Advised' box while uploading and a post it  did work. After couple of viewing it just vanished!!! It happened once with my earlier post as well. While initial upload it works and shows Viewer discretion message. But after couple of viewing it just vanishes.

I use Google Chrome for browin. Does any one have this problem before or its jus me?!?!?

Now I cannot even edit to add that Viewer discretion!!!! Please help
