I want to start by asking if we can get more assignments put up more frequently, seems the same assignments are up everyday.

Hi all! @KCRep we were just chatting about that at our weekly staff meeting yesterday. We'll try to have more assignments out more often. Our Sesame Street assignment is our top creative focus right now.

@KCRep -- We'll look into freshening that up. Any suggestions on assignments you'd like to see?

@katie...I've done 4 reports on sesame street.

I know there was an assignment related to Gourmet magazine, perhaps we can expand that concept and have a food/recipe category.

@EWillies1961 -- We're not worried about page views. I think that will sort itself out as everyone gets used to the new CNN homepage and the iReport section.

Getting on the front banner would normally bring several hundred to several thousand hits. Now I think people think is is just one mosaic as opposed to several stories.

@jeffpickens -- We love food here at iReport, so I'm sure we'll be going back to food stories in the future.

DO you have an estimate on when the back button will be working for IE versions?

@everyone -- There's a lot of new stuff on the CNN.com page and huge amounts of amazing material for people to choose from. So i think people are still learning where all the material is.

@TheWarden -- I'm not sure of an ETA. The developers are aware of it.

@davidw: You are right because I AM still learning! It's so integrative, which was tough at first but now I'm getting it!

Warden, the fix for the IE back button problem should go out late next week.

on the sesame street thing, can we still do a letter once someone else does it?

It is amazing, on my website one design change once dropped sales on a particular product by over 30%. I think this may be happening with some of the changes. I hope we find a sweetspot.

Are these same issues found on the cnn.com home page and the child pages from there?

@EWillies1961 -- I do think that will sort out. There are a lot more spots on the new site for us to showcase iReports. Like you said, we're finding the sweet spots.

If you check out our Travel section, for example, you'll see that iReports are all over the page. http://www.cnn.com/TRAVEL/

@omekongo We'd prefer if everyone took a different letter, but we'll try to showcase the best submissions for each letter. There are a lot remaining in the alphabet. And, of course, the creative, the better!

@all, Topics, How do you spend your Thanksgiving?

@MarieSager We've got some fun assignments coming up for Thanksgiving, including one about celebrating Thanksgiving overseas -- have you ever spent the holiday abroad?

@katie: thanks! I can get very creatove lyrically but I don't have video editing skills to put letters in and stuff. I'll do my best though!

@katie, Not Thanksgiving, but Christmas!  Christmas is a little more universal.

I've also thought the navigation of the menu's, even on the cnn home page were confusing. I'm guessing, the back button issues might be adding to that.

One thing I thought might help on the home page and perhaps other page areas, would be small icons to distinguish which stories are related to what source. i.e.: CNN stories get that icon next to it. MarketWatch get another, also iconing the sourse, and ireport with an ireport icon next to the link. This might help people find things when thier interest is in the source of the story.

In this way, people wanting to see CNN.com news and not be bothered with ireports could know the difference, and vis versa for many scenerios.

@TheWarden - Thanks for the suggestion. We'll look into that.

@TheWarden iReport stories do have an iReport bug -- you should be able to easily identify them on the home page

That is the one part of the site I had not seen. That is great. I hope the news->political and other sites would be more integrated so we can really get viewpoints.

@EWillies1961 -- We're making inroads -- all of our producers work to include iReports in their coverage. We'll get our work flows sorted out soon.

I hope I am not coming across as complaining. I love this platform and given the volume I think you guys at iReport are doing a great job. I think potentially this platform is going to be the beginning of a great outlet mostly because it is managed to minimize flamers and keep a pretty even handed debate of current issues.

@katie, I should reword that, I've spent Christmas abroad.  Thanksgiving in another country is usually just another day.  But Christmas and the Jewish Holidays are universal.

Sorry KC! But it 9:30 p.m. here and I've been at it since this morning!

We have them on the front page all the time -- in fact, that's a big part of my job! Right now, there are some hidden in the Editor's Choice section if you click through ... usually they're much more visible. @sjunat55's Yankee's photos were at the top of the homepage for most of the morning today

This redesign has been a lot of work for everyone -- especially y'all.

I'm convinced that it's going to pay off and that soon the new site will be second nature.

OK I see the "bug" inside the image posting on the travel page.

I was talking about the multiple menu systems with simply titles and links. Some on top have a "Money" menu icon -- in wording -- after them. This was the area of navigation I was thinking of.

@ david, well, this old lady is not having any trouble with the new format at all.  In fact, I've already forgotten what the old format looked like :)

@TheWarden We used to have "iReport.com" before links when iReport was a different site -- now that it's part of CNN, there's no separation. Personally, I think that's pretty cool, because it help proves that iReporters are journalists just like CNN reporters.

katie: yeah that is cool, I think most people certainly think so too. Just something I saw that I would have liked, BUt then again, I'm looking for ireports on the home page and can't really distingusih them in the category menu toward the bottom.

Perhaps more people would prefer not to know, or even see the difference if ti's all mixed in. I'm sure you guys will make the best call.

@alisonv -- in our defense, some of the pages are jumbled because we had to take the images off, but yeah, it's amazing to think that that was the state of the art.

Well, this change went down to the basica data base and was rebuilt from that point up, ever part, while intergrating ireport, changing ever function, every navigational flow system, all the possible and potential disasterous "bugs" that COULD HAVE shown up and the fact that all this in one step with far fewer issues than you should have had, in my opinion.

For such a large undertaking, it's rather remarkable it was so well done, went off so well, and with only your basic flow and functions remaining at large to address.

Remarkable! Honestly.

@alisonv -- I agree that it's a lot cooler now and It's a tribute to the amazing content iReporters are creating and sharing.

Hi! I am Don, "The Homeless Guy"...
