VP Debate: Cross Your Fingers

Tonight's Vice-Presidential debate should be interesting. Sort of like watching a trapeze act without a net. Trying to control that slight subconscious desire to see them fall.

The contenders: Joe "I never met a run-on sentence I didn't like." Biden, and Sarah "Newspaper? What's a newspaper?" Palin. Loquacious Joe is prone to having his mouth in a higher gear than his parietal lobe, while Six-Pack Palin went to the Miss South Carolina school of oratory.

I'll conjecture Joe's been repeating short, declarative sentences over and over (perhaps being beaten over the head with some Hemingway?), while Sarah crams at McCain's spread, trying to memorize flash cards with words having actual meanings.

They have equally difficult tasks. In the time allotted for an answer, he has to curtail his meanderings and foggy focus, she has to come up with at least enough coherent words to fill up the space. No net.
