"SHE wants....she wants it too..."
October 2, 2008 | Cebu City, Philippines | Vetting explained
I am a very busy father of a 5 year old Julianna Margaruita Lopez. She was born on September 11, 2003.
Now she has grown up just like her mother. And it is where the trouble begins. A trouble that never ends... I hope it will.
On weekends, I always make sure that the three of us go out to the mall, church, restaurant. But it is in the preparation stage ( you know, getting up and dressing up) where the world seems so noisy. After taking a shower, I always leave my wife and daughter in the room and head to our garage, puff 3 sticks of cigarettes. Why? To give them one and half hours time in the dresing room. My daughter always demands that her hair should be done like her mum's. Her panty should match her mum's. She has to wear the same make as her mum. Julianna will not let her nanny change her clothes until she sees what her mum is wearing and it has to be the same style and the colors must match. She would scream if her mum will not put on lipstick and whateverthings women put on their faces, my daughter has to have them put on, as well. And it's where the screaming, yelling, and fighting comes in. The impatient mum (Arvy) would yell to the nanny to take Julianna out of the room so she can speed up her dressing and make up routine. ( as if she does it really fast like me. In 5 minutes Im done with shower and 5 minutes or less, i am ready to go). So, Julianna has to go out of the room and stand by the door and wait till her mum comes out. Why should Julianna wait? Because there is one thing she has to be sure of before going to the garage and shows off her lipstick, hair style and whatever she's wearing to me. She has to make sure that she brings the same color and style of bag she brings ( without forgetting her own baby lipstick, lip gloss, comb and feeding bottle in her baby bag.) At the gate, she curiously observe the tic-tac of her mum's shoes to make sure that her mum has the same style of shoes she is wearing. If not, then, whatever happens, the nanny must change it at once. If mummy is wearing havaianna's slippers, she has to wear hers, too. If mummy is wearing Croc's shoes, she has to wear hers, too. If mummy is wearing pointed shoes, she has to wear it, too.
That's what I meant "SHE wants...she wants it too..."
While in the car on the way to church, the two would argue again as Julianna wants to st where her mum sits and I have to turn off the radio while driving to avoid another arguing thing. As mummy wants 80's mellow music while Julilanna wants to listen to dance tunes. Especially Hanna Montana soundtracks... Huh! that's what I got of having 2 girls in my life, Julianna and Arvy.
I prefer not to tell stories when we are at the grocery or at a restaurant. It's going to be a long story.
