Michelle Obama, Gov. Palin and all parents: 100,000 Notes of Kindness
October 3, 2008 | Atlanta, Georgia | Vetting explained
Want to inspire parents and their children to hand write an inspirational love note to each other on a nice greeting card - a keepsake that lasts for many, many years. I started the 100,000 Notes of Kindness Campaign last year. The completed cards are hand-delivered or sent via U.S. mail. I have a collection specifically deisgned for the campaign. This year's focus is on parents (including singles) and their children. New moms and dads can participate by writing a note to their infant child, signing it and putting the baby's tiny fingerprints on the card as a lovely keepsake.
I was inspired to do the campaign by a greeting card my mom gave me when I was in high school. When I was having a really rough day, I went and read it. Helped me feel a lot better too. :) That card with her hand writing and signature is my favorite keepsake! She passed away 27 years ago, but her inspirational words live on in my heart and in the greeting card.
