The McCain ticket is finally desperate enough to redefine the meaning of "taking off the gloves." They are dropping in popularity and polls; they are losing states-some states that were thought to be guaranteed republican states. They tried every attack they could but to no avail. So what do they do? They send their attack lipsticked pitbull after Obama and his supporters with the most offensive, desperate charge ever made in a political race.

Recently Sarah Palin gave the following speech in which she blatently says that Obama "pals around" with "terrorists who targeted his own country.

This is a direct statement saying that Obama is friends with our attackers at 9/11-Osama Bin Laden & Al Quida. She attempts to link William Ayers and terrorists at 9/11.

The facts: Obama was 8 years old when Ayers was involved in his questionable militant organizations and had no association with him whatsoever. He had no ties, influence, friendship, or association with him.

Obama served on the same Anti-poverty group (the Woods Fund of Chicago) between 1999 and 2002 that, coincedentally, William Ayers served on. They admit they have associated in such a group. Association in this group, however, offers absolutely no terrorist ties nor do they offer any association between Obama and Ayers' actions in the 1960's. What it does show is that the two of them agreed on fighting poverty and doing good for Chicago-something that SHOULD be commended.

If we follow the same standards of association that Sarah Palin is following then one could easily associate every single American with something horrible and evil-we all know people who have done drugs, we all know people who dodged the draft, we all know people who break laws, lie, cheat, steal, lead lifestyles and make choices we don't agree with and we all can call ourselves the same, yet we put personal choices and differences aside and accept each other for who we are instead of making judgements based on past actions (none of us were innocent Beaver Cleavers when we were young). For someone who preached how tolerant she was during her debate with Joe Biden, you would think she could understand this.

Let us not forget the fact that William Ayers has grown up and moved beyond his actions in his younger days and is now a distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

To call Obama a terrorist and attempt to link him to the terrorists who attacked us 9/11 is absolutely obscene and highly offensive-not only to him and his family, but also to his supporters-Americans! Palin crossed the line in insulting the majority of America (since the majority is now showing favor for Obama) in making such radical accusations.

I have to admit, I feel a tad bit sorry for her as the McCain company sent her out to do their dirty work in launching this new smear campaign in order to avoid the attacks coming to McCain himself. I guess they figure her credibility is so weak with the media right now that she could afford to take the blow.

Get the facts

"Senator Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen
group, as he does all acts of violence. But he was an eight-year-old
child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to
connect Obama with events of almost forty years ago is ridiculous."

The new ad that has been launched may even be a criminal violation of campaign laws. Read more here:

The entire Republican party should be absolutely ashamed of themselves to stoop so low, to support this obscene accusation, to agree for it, to tolerate it, and to stand for it.
