Date Line October 5, 2008.
We attended the World Stoner Games in Toronto Ontario last
night. For being a first time affair it was real entertainment.
Then again it helps when your sitting in a room full of dedicated
stoners practicing their chosen inebriation.
There were 5 events for contestants to show their prowess.
First there was the BongHitting contest. This was awarded on shear
lung capacity!. The winner would be the one that took the biggest
hit from the bong. As each round progressed the bongs kept getting
longer and longer. By the final round contestants were required to
take a hit off a 6 foot long bong! Try saying that 3 times fast.
The winner was quite impressive and video will be posted on utube
and myspace.
The second event was the joint rolling competition. Each
contestant was required to roll the most creative joint they could.
The winning joint looked like a daisy on steroids but tasted mighty
fine! It had what looked like 4 petals on it and a huge bulbous end
full of triple X courtesy of C.A.L.M. and The Ontario Seed Bank who
graciously sponsored this event.
We will not reveal the location of the event, but would like
to thank the hosts at this time for allowing your club to host this
event. Kudos to you. And thank you to the lovely hostesses as well.
The third event was the coloring contest. It gave you a
chance to show your artistic prowess and how you communicate it to
paper. The winning enter looked good enough to tattoo on your arm,
it was that good, or maybe I was just that stoned.
The fourth event was the high jump. You had to be able to
jump REAL high and touch the dangling bag o buds. First it was the
ladies turn and the winner got a bong. Second up were the men. Some
in the crowd were very tall and toward the end the 'bag' ended up
stuck in the rafters of the club. Fearless Dan, the senior High
Times editor finally comandeered a ladder and managed to rescue the
wayward bag.
The fifth and final event was the Stoner Sez contest. It's
played by the same rules as Simon Sez. It took awhile but finally
there were only 2 contestants left and then there was one.
After it was all said and done there was a 5 way tie for
first place. You have to understand that this was all done on a
points graded system. In the end it came down to a smoke off. Each
finalist was given an equal sized joint and the first person to
finish their joint to the filter was declared the winner. Well
wouldn't you know it, the winner was the kid from the bonhitting
competition!
This young lad from somewhere USA is going to Amsterdam for
the High Time Cannabis Cup in two weeks time! He was quoted after
the competition as saying "I love Canada". Thanks buds, we
Canadians love everybody. Like we say up here...a friend with weed
is a friend indeed!
Till next time, this is the processoroftruth signing off.
