Elk Bugling Contest in Estes Park
October 6, 2008 | Estes Park, Colorado | Vetting explained
This is a short video of the (human) elk bugling contest in Estes Park, Colorado at the 10th annual Elk Fest. Here in our town, we have a plethora of elk!!! We are the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and we LOVE our elk population! We have chosen to celebrate them each year, during the rut, (breeding season) and hold a fun, family festival full of Mountain Men, Native American music and dancing, elk viewing tours, elk vendors and food items, the Colorado Division of Wildlife, wolves, raptors and....and ELK BUGLING CONTEST with great prizes!!! Here is a clip of the day! ENJOY!
