Ok, so I just went to the GOP.com website to find out the truth about Obama's relationship with the terrorist Bill Ayres, and I found something that shocked me… Nothing. Not one stinking fact linking Obama to Ayres' 1960's radical ideology. Here's what the website told me.

They served on a Board together (an Annenberg project to improve schools)

They appeared on panels together.

They both live in Chicago (gasp).

There is nothing here that hasn't been discussed and answered for years.

What I did find on the website was a rambling, disconnected, inconclusive screed full of unsubstantiated linkages.

I might also add that Ayres was never convicted, and that he is currently a Professor at U of Illinois.

I am not defending Ayres' activities (either does Obama by the way) however, typically a terrorist organization targets civilians. The Weathermen did not. They were militants, not terrorists. We have a fine language with lots of words. Let's try using more of them.

The post on GOP.com is completely lame, as are Palins claims. I think the American people are on to this, and it is one of the things HURTING McCain in the polls now.
