Vincent Rose, Apex Predator Behaviorist, originally from the Bay
area of Northtern California, now resides in southern Belize and
dedicates himself to capturing and relocating dangerous American
Crocodiles that would otherwise be killed. Highly misunderstood and
deemed a vulnerable species, these magnificant reptiles are
normally killed when they become problematic. Vince states, "With
only about 10,000 left worldwide and with studies showing that
their blood kills both HIV and Herpes in laboratory studies, it is
imparitive we protect those remaining for fiture generations."
Vince and his wife Cherie founded ACES/American Crocodile Education
Sanctuary. Together they safely relocated a 13 foot American
Crocodile from Ambergris Caye. The croc named 'George' was being
illegally fed as a tourist attraction by locals. Deemed dangerous
because of the crocodiles lack of fear for humans, the Belize
Forest Department permitted Biologist Cherie Chenot-Rose and Apex
Predator Behaviorist Vince Rose to capture and relocate the large
reptile to ACES natural conatinment facility in Punta Gorda,
Belize. The croc is now recovering from poor nutrition and abuse.
ACES is a non-profit organization committed to conserving Belize's
crocodilians and their critical habitats through scientific
research and education to preserve Belize's wildlife for future
generations. The video was recorded and edited by the San Pedro Sun
of Ambergris, Belize. For further information go to
