War Monger
One question was asked about the role that the economic crisis will have on our role as peacemaker in the world and McCain immediately jumped on how our military is the greatest in the world. His decision to talk about the military is directly related to how much of a War monger he is. Our Economy and respect in the world is a leading mechanism which also drives peace. A man of brute force can't consider that we can be a peacemaker without the use of our military. Our military should be a mechanism of LAST resort for peace. We should also be certain that our military never goes into action where temporary cease fires are dictated to us. When our military is engaged there are only three options for those who oppose us: Surrender, capture or death. If our government had not run up trillions of dollars in deficit, we would have had the reserves to shore up the Russian economy which would have helped them stay on a democratic track. Our past political leaders (read that failures) have refused to see the devastating consequences of our national debt and now we pay the price in lost opportunities to rid the world of communism. To be a peacemaker we must balance the budget and get rid of the national debt and get out of the role of policeman (which is the job of the United Nations).
