Let me start off by saying I am a veteran who served in the
United States Marine Corps, and probably would have stayed in
active duty if my pay and compensation would have allowed me to
support my family who are in the picture.
Our country has become a "
ME" society rather than an "
US" society. The Free market, filled with so much
opportunity, has been weighed down with greed and lust for the
dollar. In turn, one of the true economic factors that seems to be
missed is how a credit supplying agency can justify charging
ungodly rates in a time when gas is almost unaffordable due to
having a family to provide for and you are the only choice for this
income. Child care costs are too high and "cost ineffective" so the
only course of action is to have your wife be a stay at home mom.
Credit Limits are being cut even when you pay your bills always on
time? This isn't because people are afraid to lend.... this isn't
because the credit markets are frozen....This is because we as the
american people allow this catastrophy that keeps replicating
itself. If you get behind on bills on an income that hasn't changed
when inflation has increased, you can never get out of the hole due
to ungodly interest rates. Your only option is to claim bankruptcy.
This is a trend that we will continue to see happen until we force
credit agencies, and hold CEO's of these companies accountable for
their actions. Maybe this does take our Government to step in, beit
a reform committee. Late fees and penalties should be applied to
situations when you get behind, but an increase in interest rates
only multiply the damage during an economic crisis. Political
candidates have not and probably will not address this issue.
I do agree with Ted Nugent though, who appeared on Glen
Close's show, truthful self-proclaimed analyst. We need someone who
is about truth and isn't afraid to admit their mistakes. We need to
elect John McCain and stay on him, stay on our local governments,
stay on our state goverments. Become local activists in the
community, not to disrupt Federal State and Local agencies from
doing their job, but peeking our heads in the door, so to speak, so
that they know we are a step away, watching that they are there for
the people. We need to come together as communities to fight for
our rights in a democratic nation to ensure that, number one, we
remain a democratic nation, and two, our goverment is working for
"US" not the "ME's"
