Although I did not learn too much in the way of new information from the debate, I did walk out of my living room with a continued growing respect for Obama and the opposite for McCain. Most of McCain's talking points either started or ended with weak attempts at smearing his opponent instead of just talking about his own plans. He kept saying things like....I don't want to get into this.... but then he would.....and it ended up just being another smear. I found it surprising that Obama seemed to be stronger with more specifics on his foreign policies than McCain, even though that is McCain's supposed area of expertise. I certainly did not like the condescending punches he kept giving to Obama especially when he referred to him as "That One!" And, the constant "My Friend" thing was a real turn-off. And I just wanted to slap that snide grin off his face when he obviously didn't like something Obama was saying. McCain has no tact. How would he act when meeting with other country leaders he doesn't care for? Will he muffle some more "horseshit" comments out of the side of his mouth or roll his eyes when he can't get his point across? Obama was much more inspiring in this debate and acted like a President should. Obama took the high road.
