2nd Debate Bores, Obama Scores
October 8, 2008 | Texas | Vetting explained
The 2nd Pres debate last night between Senators McCain and Obama was overall unremarkable; same issues same lack of details. Overall an evenly scored debate.
HOWEVER, I did notice two things:
The townhall setting that was thought to help McCain, I feel backfired.
It appeared to me that Obama owned the room. A roomful of folks, who to me appeared skeptical of Obama, IN THE END looked like Obama won them over!
Second, on the issue of foreign policy, (McCains forte'), even Obama owned that when he reminded the voters of McCain's desire to "Bomb, bomb, bomb; Bomb Iran".
That was a definite turning point in the discussion of foreign policy.
