A group of innovators led by Entrepreneur Matthew Crowe have been working diligently on the creation, testing, and trial of a new virtual charitable organization, the 1DollarClub. Accessible solely though its website, http://www.1dollarclub.org/, this Section 501(c) (3) Nonprofit Charitable Foundation based in Minneapolis, MN has created an opportunity for any person to make a real difference with the combination of two simple things: one dollar and their social network.
The site, along with its associated "1Factor" technology -- which has the capability to do what has yet to be realized in online social networks: actually quantify the value of an individual's social network -- recently was given final design approval as the 1DollarClub team completed beta testing to confirm the site's acceptance and related technologies. With $125.00 raised thus far (a significant acceptance rate within the small trial market segment), the 1DollarClub team is ready to take the concept to the general public.
Founder Matthew Crowe says, "One dollar alone cannot really do much in today's world. But collectively, as a global society, millions of people can come together, donate one dollar and create change. Everyone deep down wants to make a difference and many people either don't know how, don't feel they can make a difference or can't afford to devote enormous amounts of time and money. Now, through our site, http://www.1dollarclub.org/, your social network is of more use than simply to see what your friends are doing after school or work. Really, we created the 1DollarClub.org as a way to put your social network to a good use."
Here's how it works: Anyone who donates through the site is limited to one dollar and one dollar only. The only way to help the 1DollarClub achieve its goal is to donate your dollar and then appeal to and then activate the individuals in your social network to do likewise. So no matter if you are Richard Branson, Bill Gates, or just an average Josephine or Joe - your dollar has the same impact and power as anyone else's dollar. But you're not alone. To assist you in this endeavor, the 1Factor technology was developed to be a useful, unique tool to track your progress in getting your network to join the 1DollarClub.
