Where do we start? In this country, especially in a time of crisis
we the people of this country band together as one nation under one
title: Americans. Over the past couple of days during this campaign
season the level of racist vitriol has increased to unwarranted
levels. In my own Post, for sharing what I believe to be truth, I
have been attacked as being racist and even ordered to return to
Africa from angry GOP, supporters. I would like to believe, not
feel that we have come a long way from my childhood days when
hateful elements within our society created derogatory
steryotypical names for each different member of our society.
During the 1960's, there were, (Niggers, Peckerwoods, Wet Backs,
Kikes, Half Breeds and Gooks)!
Needless to say the 1970's offered nothing better than:
Honky, Nigger, Spicks, JewBoy etc... However, when America is in
crisis, we come together like none other! No one questions whether
the dollars they send or the blankets being packaged for those that
have lost their homes during Hurricains or floods, are of the same
race as the donor. So what have we become, a nation of hypocrits?
Will America rise above its "In House", streotypes and vote for the
best candidate, or on unprincipled racial loyalities? We as a
nation are far better than the squalid history of our past. It is
my prayer that on election day, no matter how historic or emotional
the sight of viewing so many exercise their right to vote that no
matter what the outcome, we will honor the will of the people and
oneanother!
