Damage report #1 from anguilla after omar
October 16, 2008 | The Valley, Anguilla | Vetting explained
The island missed a direct hit but only by a "few" miles and omar turned into a category 3 hurricane right before his arrival in anguilla, british west indies. There is no power, water or internet on the island due to downed lines and trees but wireless internet was restored just a few minutes ago. So far all island friends report no injuries and the sight of the sun this morning is a welcome relief to the pitch black darkness of last night. Enclosed some pictures of Island Harbour with downed power lines and trees and what looks like a lake is a basketball court.
