SPACE. was stolen how did it end? GOD i hope it ended.

Recently I traveled overland from Bali to Borneo during the journey I had a book called SPACE written by some guy anyway in Singapore my book was stolen but to be honest it was a relief. Yet I only had less than 50 pages left to read poor me. Anyway I have always wondered how the story ended and it seems McCain's story has some relevance. Please tell me SOMONE how it ended I can't stand to read it again.
