Running the Angkor Wat half marathon
April 16, 2008 | Siem Reap, Cambodia | Vetting explained
Watch as Lisa Schroeder recounts her excellent experience running the Angkor Wat half marathon on December 2, 2007.
The Angkor Wat temple complex lies near the city of Siem Reap and is overrun by a million-plus tourists every year.
The half marathon was started in 1996 as a way to raise funds to help landmine victims, of which Cambodia has too many.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
