Weeks ago, an article published in the newspaper Los Angeles Times said that the Latin American country "nurture" to Islamic terrorism by Hezbollah. The news published by the U.S. daily Los Angeles Times and reproduced by Haaretz in Israel, which says that the terrorist group Hezbollah in Venezuela (1) could have a base of operations, concerned "a lot" to Israel and generated an immediate reaction from the community Venezuelan Jewish.

The president of the Confederation of Jewish Associations of Venezuela, Benshimol Abraham Levy said it was "worrying" the possibility of the presence of Hezbollah in their country. "Obviously we are very concerned, all this worries us very much", he pointed out this morning a high-ranking source from the Israeli Foreign Ministry in dialogue with the Jewish Agency for News (AJN), referring to the likely presence of Hezbollah in the Caribbean country.

The information appeared in the article, the source felt "quite certain", warns about the close ties between Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez and     Iranian Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, while officials quoted anti-terrorist alert because of fears that Venezuela an "operational base" of the Lebanese Shiite Militia.

Since that article appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Israeli Foreign Ministry had kept silent about the same today and, unofficially, who appreciated its content is "fairly certain".

Also, the article claims that two Venezuelans of Arab surnames had bank accounts in several countries from where they were funding terrorist groups. Therefore, the Treasury Department froze their U.S. accounts.

Since the Israeli Foreign Ministry were also photographs of the Wayuu tribe, in Guajira, Venezuela, who converted to Islam.

According indicated several Internet portals, whose source could not confirm AJN, the same Chavez imported from Iran for Shiite missionaries to convert indigenous people of the Amazon, beginning with the tribe of the Guajiros.

Although since Israel did not confirm a direct relationship between the members of this tribe and the Islamic Militia Hezbollah, were "very concerned" by converting to Islam from the original inhabitants of the area.

In addition to showing the images in which you can see, for example, a logo of Hezbollah Venezuela (1), several websites claimed, based on the stories of the journalist and former rightist deputy Bolivian Jose Brechner, which Hezbollah has bases in the Latin American country and opened offices in other countries.

Brechner has written articles which praised Augusto Pinochet and other right-wing politicians of the continent.

Los Angeles Times also said that Hezbollah and Iran's Revolutionary Guards had formed action groups to carry out kidnappings of Israeli citizens, especially businessmen, and in Latin America that had been offered money to the Caracas airport employees to provide them with data on arrivals of them.
