Still got my SUV
October 28, 2008 | Annapolis, Maryland | Vetting explained
Like the old saying... "it's cheaper to keep her"
My SUV gets 13MPG average, but it's paid off. It's cheaper to put gas in it then have a car payment for an economy car. $200 for gas, or $450 a month payment + gas for new car. Hmmm. Plus the fact that it's only worth $4000 in trade in. I'll keep driving it! Room for 7, looks and runs like new still and has a lot of life left in it. It owes me nothing. Gas is $2.43 today and still dropping!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
