Fear is something that rules over us. Because of fear, we believe the stereotypes of a select few to represent an entire race or religion.  I love that we as civil people can come together and comment on such issues given our freedoms of speech. http:// although on the Internet, rights can be limited.

From my understanding, at one point we were fighting Saddam's loyalists, slowly shifting to those Islamic extremists. You cannot clearly state that the insurgents that are attacking us are extremists because of solely their religion. Factions and groups of similar ideas have banded together to create a constant threat against what they do not believe in or wish to destroy.  Muslims are followers of Islam. Not all Muslims are Islamic extremists. I'm not saying that any of you believe that, but sometimes it's good to mention some things.

By the use of propaganda, Muslims have been made into an enemy image which the most "average" of American citizen believe. We have come to fear them based off of terrorist attacks on the country. We've heard more about Terrorism and Islamic extremists in the past 6-7 years than anytime in history. We've just come to give into the fear of what is different from us. From my understanding, Muslims are peaceful and a truly understanding people. We, Americans, have occupied their lands in search for a select group of individuals which would want to destroy our way of life, as well, the lives of those who are different from their own. Those select few want to attack us at home, as well, abroad against our interests and troops. Because we're occupying lands where they operate, we're perpetuating the battle. Think of the term " Group Think": A group believes in something, others feel the same way and wish to engage in the same activities. Racial hatred, 'wrongful" or unjust teachings also help to prolong these feelings. As long as we exist, they fight- And vice-versa.

Our feelings back home in America are the same. We fall into "Group-Think" and assume all Muslims are against American interests. We hold a deep fear and disrespect for their way of life because we feel that we do things the "right" way. We must know and learn that everyone has their own opinions, morals, and values and we must learn to live with people that are different than us. This is what makes America so great, we've accepted all people, all races, religions, colors, creeds and affiliations which have all melded together into something amazing. We do not hold "American" values, we hold world values as we all have come together, assimilating our differences into one unique being.

To the point.

As of late, I've been noticing Obama-Biden signs in my city spraypainted out on the side of the road, covered in hateful grafitti.

"No-Bama"

"Dont Vote For Terrorists!"

"No Niggers 2009"

It would be expected that living in a "Red" state would show that support for a Democrat would lead to lack of respect from my peers, but the complete racism and biggotry I've been seeing is beyond me.

Fact: Obama Isnt A Muslim.

A Muslim is someone who practices Islam.

If this is how supporters for John McCain are going to act, It scares me to think of the possible actions against minorities will be if he somehow won this election.
