Washington DC's Zombie Lurch Thriller
October 31, 2008 | Washington DC, District of Columbia | Vetting explained
This will be the third year for the Zombie Lurch on the Mall, in front of the Washington Monument. I believe this years Lurch will be November 1st.
This are photos from the 2007 Lurch. Watching was a real trip.
People dress up as Zombies and dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller. There is like a five dollar fee that goes to the ASPCA.
Many cities around the globe participate in their own lurch. It has become the cultish thing to do around Halloween.
DC's notorious haunted hangouts and the Exorcist stairs in Georgetown lend an excellent backdrop for the zombie's and ghouls wandering about town.
