50 Reasons why none should vote for a Republican in this election. This is the Bush legacy that McCain supported and defended 90% of the time.

1. Along with appointees, who were amply warned, was responsible for pre-9/11 intelligence failures in White House, CIA and FBI.

2. At 9:30 AM, fifteen minutes after it was clear the United States was under terrorist attack, President Bush sat down in front of a classroom of second graders for a pre-planned photo op. Later froze for 20 when given further news. There are at least 4 credible reports that Bush was told of the attack before he arrived at the school.

3. Opposed creation of 9-11 commission AND Homeland Security Department.

4. Used 9-11 as an excuse to attack Iraq.

5. Used Col. Powell to lie to United Nations.

6. Lied during State of the Union Address over Niger Uranium.

7. Repeatedly lied about Saddam/Al Qaeda connection.

8. Lied to Americans about real cost of Iraq war.

9. Unilaterally invaded a sovereign nation without provocation or justification.

10. Allowed 9/11 murderers to remain free while diverting squandering precious lives and huge amounts of national resources on his pet war.

11. Turned Iraq into terrorist breeding ground.

12. Lied about nation building.

13. Alienated the US from key allies around the world.

14. Poor conduct of a mistaken war cost the lives of 4000+ Americans along with 20,000+ injured and maimed Americans, along with countless thousands suffering from mental illness.

16. Fostered environment of human rights abuse and torture in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo.

32. SPENT MORE MONEY THAN ALL PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIONS COMBINED.

33. Presided, along with his totally inept appointment of the head of FEMA, over the colossal failure of preparedness and response to hurricane Katrina.

34. Lied when he said: I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levee, as there was a report created 4 years earlier by the US Army Corps of Engineers predicting he breaches.

35. Took 5 days to respond to the largest national disaster in US history.

36. Caused the decline of US popularity and trust throughout the world.

37. Allegations of fraud surrounding BOTH 2000 and 2004 elections. Accused parties elevated to high positions in Justice Department where several investigations were blocked.

38. Broke the law by creating a program that spies on it's own citizens.

39. Supported the Patriot Act, which allows federal authorities enter into your home without a warrant, search it and never have to tell you about it.

40. Enacted laws that consider boycotting a commercial enterprise "domestic terrorism".

41. Politicized Justice Department, ordering the firing of 8 federal judges because they would not pursue false voter fraud allegations against Democrats.

42. Attorney Generals Ashcroft resigns amidst investigations into his conduct.

43. Attorney General Gonzales resigns amidst investigations into his conduct.

44. Outed Valerie Plame Wilson, an active CIA agent.

45. Vice President's assistant Scooter Libby convicted of lying in Valerie Plame case.

47. Lied when he said that he would withdraw US troops from Iraq if elected Iraqi government so asked.

48. Lied about the true costs of Medicare's prescription bill.

49. Ended Medicare's ability to negotiate drug prices, providing a huge windfall for the pharmaceutical companies.

50. Fostered a culture of corruption and greed that has resulted in more indictments of federal office holders than any other period in American history.

This is just the first 50 reasons out possible hundreds or even thousands, to say NO to Republican in this election. They have done enough damage and we haven't yet really gotten into the economy and the deregulation and pandering that caused our present situation.

George W Bush has been a monumental disaster for this country. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either on drugs, an extreme idiot, braindead, or all three.

McCain has supported Bush 90% of the time, and helped him lie in selling us the Iraqi war. This war has cost 4000+ American lives, most in their prime of youth. The monetary cost of this war will climb into the many TRILLIONS once we factor in the cost of caring for the vets and rebuild our exhausted military. The damage done to our reputation around the world is another story altogether.

McCain made the wrong judgment on Iraq from the beginning. The "surge" was nothing more that finally fixing the screwup in the management of an already mistaken war. As such McCain has shown that HE DOES NOT HAVE THE JUDGMENT TO LEAD THIS NATION.

A vote for any Republican in federal office is giving your approval to everything they have done. Please wizen up and use your vote for your COUNTRY, not a corrupt and bankrupt party.

Don't let them scare you over dubious claims of what MIGHT be. Judge them for WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!
