PA Paints Huge Hope for Obama
November 3, 2008 | Shickshinny, Pennsylvania | Vetting explained
Some farmers in rural PA grow pumpkins, but Jim Lennox managed to figure out how to grow enormous Hope in his field in Shickshinny PA. Enlisting 15 artists, ages 8 through 80, from five North Eastern PA counties, Jim Lennox and his wife Hilary Ross super-sized Shepard Fairey's Obama Hope Campaign poster into a whopping 100 by 70 foot painting on their lawn. Visible from the air, the 7000 square foot painting was created using environmentally safe, water-based athletic field paints and was completed on October 20th. It is dedicated to Barack Obama, and to all of those who have supported this amazing campaign of hope. If you are flying into the Scranton/Wilkes Barre airport, look out the window! Go Obama!!!
