Voting in Central Indiana

iReport —

I arrived at my polling place at 5:50 AM (10 minutes before the polls open) and was greeted with the line having just reached the door. Voting takes place at a local middle school inside the gym.

After faintly hearing someone proclaim "Hear ye, hear ye! The polls are now open" from inside the gym, the line began to slowly move. In total, it took 45 minutes for me to get through the line and vote. Several people did not know their precinct and had to wait in line only to be told to go back and wait in a different line. This was eventually fixed by moving the precinct maps to the front of the building.

Other than that, everything seemed to move pretty smoothly. I'm glad I voted early, as I'm sure the lines will only get longer as the day goes on.
