Walking 3 miles to vote in Michigan
November 4, 2008 | Harrison Township, Michigan | Vetting explained
A day like no other, an election like no other.
Today my sister-in-law and I decided to walk to our polling location. This is what the path looked like about halfway there.
On our way, we talked about how walking 3 miles was marking the start of change in our country. We were saving the environment by not driving, enjoying the weather and walking for health all while heading to vote in this historic campaign.
We are ready for change and it feels good.
Really good!
Today we make history and what a beautiful day to do it.
btw, we voted for Obama. :)
