Yes we DID!
November 6, 2008 | Austin, Texas | Vetting explained
I hope we all remember NO President can make any changes
alone and I hope we support him (and any good ones who come after
him) as strongly in his coming endeavors as we did in his campaign.
Obama's election as President says to me that we are working
hard to get over our past. It shows that those of us who will not
tolerate prejudice of ANY kind and teach this to our children can
and DID make a difference.
His election also showed any person who runs a dignified,
intelligent and well run campaign with a candidate equaling the
same qualities can and DID win the Presidency. This was actually
something I feared was lost in our country having witnessed
previous elections.
Above all this gives me hope for the mixture of
people that make up America and hope for my Grand kids as they grow
into adults that they will not witness the same hatreds we have
seen through our nations history and no matter who you are, dare to dream big and expect a lot from yourself.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
