God Loves Us. All Let us LOVE one another . too .
November 10, 2008 | Perth, Australia | Vetting explained
Just perhaps it is the right of a religion to decide if it will sanction and bless Gay Marriages .
BUT ,it is not the right of the people to discriminate against a Gay Partnership irregardless of sexual identity .The State has an obligation to provide for the welfare of all .
But Gay couples have been discriminated against regarding ;
*home loans
*tax deductions for a dependent spouse
*visitation to a critically ill partner
*inheritance of the partner's estate where there is no will
et cetera
The simple dignity of holding a partner's hand , kissing or dancing at a family wedding is still denied . Social discrimination is stifling and injurious . We have made strides in our humanity but we have a long way to go .
All of us have gay relatives . If we do not know who they are , it might be because they do not feel comfortable coming out to us .
After her lesbian daughter attempted suicide , my Aunt stood and addressed the family at her son's wedding , "We all love my daughter . We do not stop loving her because she is Gay . God made Gays . And God does not make garbage . On the occasion of this my son's wedding we are gathered together to celebrate their love . Let us celebrate our love for one another every one of us . "
7 to 10 % of all humans are Gay . Most were born that way . There is no humane reason to discriminate against a Gay Couple .
Would you love a son or daughter any less should you discover they were gay ?How should we expect that God would love us any less , if we were Gay ? God loves us all , just the way we are .
Partners of a Gay Marriage have the right to expect the compassion and dignity afforded to any Straight Couple .
Gay Partners have a right to just and fair treatment under the law .
Let us love one another .
