Senator Ted Stevens--convicted felon
November 10, 2008 | Cumberland, Maine | Vetting explained
A very straightforward question about the Senator.
I am not certain of the
logistics of how the state of Alaska handles these matters or if they ever
had actually had to, so my underlying curiosity about all of this is: Would
Governor Palin use this as a strategy to appoint herself to the Senate which
(obviously) would position her better as a national candidate in 2012? If the
answer is yes, then doesn't it really become a question of
ethics?

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
