Big Three Bailout/Rescue?

I'm afraid we disagree on this one, and I'll tell you why.

1) I'm not sure Americans know how long it will take to do a complete overhaul technology shift of the auto industry, as it cannot be done in a year or two which I'm sure that is what you are ALL thinking. You are talking 10 years at that very least to get the Big Three to break from Oil. The money being proposed would keep them afloat for a year or two and they would fail anyway. So in that case the taxpayers would be out the money and the unemployment would happen anyway making it worse. 2) The Big Three are in bed with Big Oil and I can assure you the "Re-Tooling" plan to get green will never happen due to the huge influence Big Oil has on the Big Three. Back in the late 70's I had to wait in the gas lines in California and that one event should have sent a major wake-up call to the Big Three. What did they do instead? Built those monstrous gas guzzling SUV's AND then they went to congress with Big Oil to get the MPG Standards not applicable for their hideous creations. Then they put on a massive campaign to get "SOME" Americans to swallow their land yachts, hook, line, and sinker. WHY did they do this? Because Big Oil wanted more money. The classic "I'll scratch your back you scratch mine." Meanwhile across the Pacific Honda has been busy developing the Hydrogen Fuel Cell car along (video included) with home based Hydrogen Fueling stations. Gosh Look who takes the hit on that one... Big Oil. If all of a sudden I can fill up my ZERO Emission Hydrogen car at home why do I need the local gas station? This again is the reason the Big Three will never go green the way Honda has, as Big Oil will never allow it to happen. I say let those lying asses fail then give the money to the TRUE Innovators who are not tied to Big Oil so they can re-tool the plants to mass produce Hydrogen cars and Hydrogen Home Fueling stations. This way the unemployment will be for a very short time and our dependence on foreign oil will end forever plus the greenhouse gasses will drop like a rock as Hydrogen cars produce water vapor. Would I agree for the money for the Big Three to help save the jobs of my fellow Americans? If money is provide it needs to be mandated that EVERY vehicle coming from the big three by the end of 3 years will run on CNG which is the stepping stone to Hydrogen.  If any of them fail that task, that is the end of the road for them. Basically, WE the Taxpayers say... “YOU do it this way or you go under pure and simple.” Finally, For the Record, the Chevy Volt is a joke...  You plug it in to charge it. Where do you get electricity? Burning dirty coal. Yes that's quite an innovative solution and it only took Chevy 30 years to produce that piece of crap and you think they can "Retool to green" in a couple of years? Sorry, I know better, as they all have a long proven history of failure.
