Corpses of Georgian soldiers died during the Russian intervention in Tskhinvali Region have been handed over to the Georgian side. The coepses had been buried on the nearby territory of Tskhinvali and Nikozi village.

Colonel Tarassov, the Commandant of the occupants of separatist Tskhinvali has attended the hand over process of the corpses. The agreement on reburial of the eleven Georgian soldiers was signed in Tskhinvali a week ago, during the visit of Thomas Hammarberg, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights. The Georgian side showed goodwill first at the talks and released two prisoners detained for looting.
