Rezday Celebrations

One of the nice sides to having a Second Life is the fact that you have two birthdays. Your real life birthday, and your rezday, (the day you created your avatar in the virtual world). There was a big celebration in SL on Saturday night as style guru Kirk Claymore marked the event of his second rezday with a fantastic costume party. Kirk, who owns KMADD Enterprises, with partner Maddox Dupont, had arranged for the party to be held in a magical sim with an Alice in Wonderland theme. Kirk and Maddox are famous in SL for their wonderful events and for doing things in style. Kirk looked very handsome dressed as a King for the evening, complete with crown and scarlet robes. All the guests looked stunning as well as they danced the night away in their colourful and amazing outfits. Maddox's costume complimented Kirk's with an intriguing fantasy purple style, along with playing cards emblazoned on his chest. The sim itself was pretty fantastic, with huge stacks of giant playing cards and chess pieces on the black and white chequered dance floor. A giant maze, and beautiful gardens all round, set the scene. As I wandered around exploring I actually fell down a rabbit hole, a brightly lit tunnel, which seemed endless until I finally tumbled into a water-filled cavern at the bottom. There was a box floating there with a biscuit inside which invited you to eat it, on touching the biscuit you would be teleported away to another area, all clever stuff!! It would be an exciting place to explore if you have a little free time, as there is so much to see. Second Life has been getting a little bit of a bad press over the last few days, with tales of illicit romantic liaisons hitting the broadsheets. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20081113/tuk-woman-divorces-over-virtual-lover-45dbed5.html It's a shame that people who have never entered Second Life have no idea of the friends and worldwide community who are happy to create such an enjoyable environment to meet up and enjoy the nicer side of virtual living. Happy Rezday Kirk and may you have many more! Pacifico Norte 7 (36, 133, 448)
