I visited Yosemite National Park, California during the month of July 2008. *Stunning, inspiring, speechless, awe inspiring, awakening.....*a list of mixed emotions ...these are just the tip of the iceberg.

I shot the above Photograph of Lake Tenaya along the famous Tioga Pass in Yosemite , rated by Nation Geography as one of the most scenic routes on this earth :)

Yosemite National Park, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more. The granite monolith of Half Dome is recognized throughout the world as an icon of Yosemite National Park. Thousands of visitors hike to the summit each year, rewarded with spectacular views and an experience that is not easily forgotten.

Yosemite Falls is the tallest waterfall in North America, and is a powerful presence in Yosemite Valley. From winter ice to spring flood to autumn dryness, this magnificent waterfall is a dynamic force of nature

Is there a best time to visit Yosemite? It depends what you're looking for, because each season has its advantages. My personal feedback is to visit this scenic grandeur during the month's of June-July , that's when the waterfalls are at their extreme lush. You can also visit the park during November to see the fall season in California.

To conclude in the very own words of Galen Clark, Guardian of the Yosemite Grant in 1864
" I have seen persons of emotional temperament stand with tearful eyes, spellbound and dumb with awe, as they got their first view of the Valley from Inspiration Point, overwhelmed in the sudden presence of the unspeakable, stupendous grandeur." - Galen Clark, guardian of the Yosemite Grant in 1864
