Indian Army On The Streets After Terror Attacks
November 27, 2008 | mumbai, India | Vetting explained
This picture was taken about two to three blocks from the Taj hotel, at about 11:30 AM the morning after the Mumbai terrorist attacks. The mood is fairly relaxed but somber. Having the strong military presence is helping people to stay calm.
We are close enough that we heard at least three of the bomb blasts last night, as well as the sirens from emergency vehicles. We were just at the Taj yesterday for breakfast, and almost stayed there last night. It's such a beautiful building, inside and out. Hard to believe this is happening.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
