Proud Military Dad Returning Home
November 27, 2008 | Pittsburg, Kansas | Vetting explained
These are some photos of our son-in-law, Capt. Mike Temko of the U.S. Army, returning recently from Iraq. He is seen with his wife Jen, son Jack, and daughter Molly. We thought these pictures were just the most wonderful pictures of a proud and happy father who is incredibly happy to see his family after a year in Iraq. During that time, his daughter Molly was born and he had only seen her for a short period of time after her birth. As you can see, he is loved by his wife, kids, family, and neighbors (who set up the homecoming things like a large flag and decorations). We are proud to have this wonderful man in our family and this is the best thanksgiving gift a family can have.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
