I couldn't believe it when I heard the news about the poor soul
that got run-down in a stampede at the Wal-Mart in New York the
morning after Thanksgiving, our cherished "Black Friday", a new
part of how we celebrate our religious beliefs. What has happened
to our society!? It seems that some of us have lost their minds!
There were so many people rushing the doors of that store, that
they couldn't tell who was at fault of that death. I hope the
people who worked themselves up in such frenzy, really think about
what they did during this holiday season. A season that celebrates
the birth of Jesus, a religious belief that causes countries to go
to war, and a holiday that is meant to spread love and cheer. How
much love and cheer do you think the family of that employee of
Wal-Mart is sharing today? Where do we, as a collective group, put
our foot down? How can we continue to be oblivious of how we
celebrate our traditions? Someone died for the sake of a" good
deal!" Do you think the people that took the life of that employee
are aware of what they did? Do you think that the money they spent
on their gifts will be appreciated and cherished by the person they
give them to? Do you think that they will they cherish those gifts
as much as the lost love of that person they stomped the life out
of!? Or do you think that the gifts will be brought back to the
store for an exchange? How that must honor the death of an innocent
person? Ohhhh, how Jesus must feel, how proud it must make him,
knowing that in his name sake, this has become the way we celebrate
his birth, people being crushed to death on "Black Friday!" When
will our society learn the real meaning of Christmas? I can tell
you, IT'S NOT AT THE MALL!!!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE, WAKE UP AND REALIZE
WHAT IT IS THAT YOU'RE DOING!!!! STOP AND USE THE GIFT THAT GOD
GAVE YOU, COMMON SINCE! JUST STOP AND THINK ABOUT WHAT IT IS THAT
YOU ARE DOING!!!!! Wal-Mart should be ashamed as well, I blame them
as much as I blame the ignorant people that did this horrible
thing. This is largely part of Corporate America that we are in
this crap!! People, just stop it!
